So you can not live an overstimulating life indoors and wonder why you don’t derive pleasure from anything natural or why you're not driven to create something.

Except it's not actually about economic pressure, not really. Calories are cheaper than ever. One could theoretically obtain an iron-age tier way of life with 1/100th of the effort iron-age people expended for the same thing.

It's actually about regulations and status games -- and how they work together. In lieu of actual scarcity, we have psyched ourselves out into a simulacrum of scarcity by endlessly revising the list of things that are considered "necessary for life," and have moreover shaped the moral authority of the state to enforce these ever-changing (and very costly) standards.

Because though calories are cheap and basic building supplies are plentiful, it'd be social suicide to live an "iron age lifestyle" with 8+ kids. Your living structure would be illegal, your living standards would justify a CPS investigation and possible abduction of your children, and every single person around you would condemn you as a lunatic. Eventually, even if you could avoid these fates -- your kids may very well disavow you and opt not to repeat your way of living.

These days, to have children you are "supposed" to be spending a lot of money on a suite of recently-invented technologies, behaving exactly as your neighbors behave, and presumably working constantly to finance this incredibly expensive social status game.

The sum total of building codes, immense social pressure to conform, ever-changing 'rules' about what is necessary for life, infinite consumerism, wide-latitude child welfare policies, and a few other distinctly modern factors have created SIMULATED scarcity that is far more intense than any iron-age peasant ever felt or knew.

Only countercultural minority groups will make it through this bottleneck. I'd even dare to say that if you even slightly care about "keeping up with the Joneses" your bloodline is probably not gonna make it through the next century or so.

- Judge and Pathologist were FAR TOO LENIENT on Police
- Henry Nowak had 50% CHANCE to survive
- Absolutely convinced that if he arrived in hospital alive he would have survived

Full breakdown below:

Dr Krzysztof Magier [@DrMagier] based in the Isle of Wight is a qualified Paediatric Care Lead and part of the 'Critical Care Network' with experience in combat medicine training and a specialized course in treating severe injuries (including gunshot and stab wounds) has analysed the footage and claimed the AGGRESSIVE Police intervention may have contributed towards Henry's death.

Dr Magier DISAGREES with the pathologist's and judge's opinion that Henry Nowak had ZERO chance of SURVIVAL.

As well as the claim that handcuffing him essentially changed NOTHING.

In fact he claims the REVERSE IS TRUE, there is a high likelihood that the police intervention CONTRIBUTED TO HENRY'S DEATH.

He analysed the autopsy report, which points to DAMAGE to the subclavian vein as the main source of BLEEDING.

In a healthy person, venous bleeding occurs under low pressure and often self-limits thanks to the NATURALLY FORMING CLOT, while simply approximating the wound edges and compressing the surrounding tissues closes the vein enough to slow or even stop the bleeding.

The body camera footage shows that when police arrived on the scene (likely 5-10 minutes after the injury), Henry was CONCIOUS ENOUGH to speak LOUDLY.

He was therefore NOT YET in a terminal state.

After his arms were twisted behind his back and handcuffed, the vein was most likely STRETCHED, the clot TORN, and BLEEDING DRAMATICALLY INTENSIFIED.

Within just about three minutes, he lost consciousness and DIED.

People with suspected internal injuries should NEVER be moved or yanked abruptly, such actions can destroy the natural clot and lead to massive internal hemorrhage.

Instead of immediately calling a medical rescue team and handing the patient over to paramedics, the police ARRESTED HIM.

If paramedics had arrived first on the scene, Henry’s chances of survival would have been MUCH HIGHER.

AS HIGH AS "50%"—writes Dr. Magier.

Paramedics could have quickly started an IV, administered fluids to increase circulating blood volume, and tranexamic acid to stabilize the clot, and if needed, performed needle decompression (inserting a large, long needle into the lung), because the issue wasn’t so much lack of lung function, but compression of the blood-filled lung on the heart and mediastinum, which blocks circulation.

Worse still, the incident took place just a few minutes' drive by car (2–3 minutes by ambulance with sirens) from Southampton University Hospital—a regional MAJOR TRAUMA CENTRE equipped with a full team of specialists, procedures, and equipment.

"I AM CONVINCED THAT IF HENRY HAD ARRIVED THERE ALIVE THE DOCTORS WOULD HAVE NOT LET HIM DIE"—writes Dr. Magier.

The aggressive police intervention, instead of saving a life, led to death through improper handling of a severely injured person, even though world-class care was just minutes away. "I fear the Judge and pathologist were too lenient toward the police"

Everything is in a bubble now. Not just financially, but socially as well. The stock market, housing prices, grocery prices, and even the dating marketplace are all overly inflated.

By this, I mean the price people are paying no longer matches the value they’re receiving. How does a society end up in such a situation, and has this happened before?

The answer is both yes and no. We have seen multiple bubbles throughout history, whether in tulips, stocks, or general hyperinflation. But we have never seen a dating marketplace bubble.

I believe history works in cycles because it mirrors human nature. People have a tendency to take good times for granted, and that leads to decadence. This decadence lowers the value of almost everything in society while raising the cost of obtaining it.

What makes this time in history unique is that it’s not only the most decadent period to ever exist, but it’s creating inflation in areas never seen before, mostly when it comes to relationships and public life.

From an opportunity cost perspective, it is far more expensive to participate in today’s social life and dating culture than to forgo it. This is because the nominal value does not match the real value. What are men actually getting when they participate in society? What about in marriage?

Our culture has ruined the value of many things, it almost makes no sense to participate. As I mentioned earlier, you can also see this in the cost of everything else.

Why invest in the stock market AI mania when it’s clearly a bubble? Why buy an overpriced home? Why work harder when inflation won’t slow down? Is anything worth the effort anymore?

But the most consequential issue of all is the fact that family formation has become largely out of reach in this everything bubble. The money needed to build a family isn’t the only issue, the energy cost of acquiring and retaining a woman today is far too expensive. It goes with the saying about hoeflation, “men have to work 5x harder for women who are 20x worse.”

We are at the conclusion of this everything bubble, which is an indicator that the Fourth Turning is coming to a close. The value mismatch we see in just about everything won’t last much longer.

Nature has a way of correcting itself, as everything eventually reverts back to the mean. It’s like a baseball player batting .450 in April, we know his average is going to come back down.

However, I believe a period this decadent will require a massive event to put an end to all of this. Whether that is war, an economic crisis, or a natural disaster, we won’t know.

But this everything bubble is a result of decadence, which has created inflated expectations and distorted valuations in nearly every aspect of life. We need something to bring people back to reality.
