@nicksortor@PeteHegseth@mattvanswol I'm curious, @nicksortor. Everyone sees this as a "win" and that the suspensions were unjustified. But the military & air force have guidelines around safety. Do you not think these should be observed? And if a future accident happens, with Pete be quick to support the pilot?
@JimHendley4NC They did state both of those. Their protest was not with the U.S. team. It was with @FIFAcom and the way they handled it. And they never said they weren't going to play if the suspension was not reinstated.
There was no "crying". They submitted a protest then hit the pitch
@bennyjohnson What would Christ think of your constant messaging that only fuels division in the country?
Or the actions of your Emperor?
You are a walking contradiction, @bennyjohnson
@bennyjohnson "The left" ? Nice try to add to the division. One individual with a gun killed him.
Stop fuelling division in your country, @bennyjohnson.
You keep promoting Christian values then say something like this.
But, hey, posts about division is how you make a living.
@LangmanVince Not sure what you are trying to say with these hypotheticals.
The World Cup is a tournament and like every sport, there is only one winner.
But teams can be competitive and take a shot at it. The U.S. was firmly beaten and need to do better to take on the World Cup.
@bennyjohnson "We are close to a deal. It should happen by Monday" he said several times to prop up the stock market.
"We should have a deal in two weeks"
Like Putin, they strung him along.
The rest of the world sees it.
@TheHayride Well, imo, it was lack of sophistication by the U.S. team was their undoing. No shape on the pitch & dozens of turnovers.
But for country that feels they are the 'best' at everything, over 350 million people & you can't field 25 decent players?
Belgium 11 million....
@rshereme You summed it up. @bennyjohnson, you should read that.
It isn't about Europeans hating American's either. Not the case. Sports will always involve countries and a competitive narrative.
But @realDonaldTrump works hard to get involved with every headline and this backfired
@bennyjohnson "The FIFA soccer game"....@CharlesHurt doesn't even know it's called the World Cup.
@bennyjohnson's feeble attempt at sarcasm and comedy was pretty pathetic.
@BenGay1121@RonDeSantis And beyond the realm of sport, how many individuals has he destroyed through association? How many lawyers have been disbarred because they followed his orders? He is a constant car crash and kills all his passengers.
@McBrideLawNYC "They will never recover". I think you need to get out more or perhaps travel beyond your borders. Some influencers got excited about ranch dressing and how "big" all your meals were (Which is one of your obesity contributors). The World Cup is a great event.
@McBrideLawNYC There is no "hatred" towards Americans. More disbelief that your President feels he can pick up the phone and encourage @FIFAcom to look at the ban. Infantino is equally to blame for pandering to him.
If anything, @realDonaldTrump interfered with your team's motivation.
@BallinFFB Because it affected them and by doing so, they have lodged an appeal that will require an enquiry that will help to protect the integrity of the game rather than having Government interference.
