We need to start talking about archiving @solana’s code base on @ArweaveEco
Doing so would make it permanent and immutable, thereby increasing network resilience 🏰
Imagine earthquake proofing AFTER the city has been built. That’s the opportunity here:

Cardano playbook needs to be studied. They tried to build a credible decentralized system, not focused on the user but focused on the tech - having moral superiority over the user, giving away free money, and trying to buy adoption. But failed in the end, as the tech is just not user-focused.
A simple truth at the end. If you don't have a user, you don't have a product.
🚨 OUT OF PRIVATE BETA 🚨

Over the weekend we learned that our new CMO crossed a line. His actions were taken without my knowledge or the knowledge of our team.
Coordinated doxxing campaigns have no place at RedStone. We verified the facts and made a decision: we cannot continue working together, effective immediately. Below is my perspective.
We have a small marketing team and wanted to bring on a seasoned CMO. Peter joined us in September with years of professional marketing experience. Figuring out communication strategy in a competitive market is part of the job. But it has to be done following the company values.
RedStone team are builders, not drama seekers. That's not who we are, and it's not what we stand for.
We mutually agreed with Peter to part ways effective immediately.
Peter acted outside our boundaries without the knowledge or support of our team.
We have our differences with Chainlink, but we have many similarities too. We believe the world will run on crypto infrastructure, that oracles are an essential part of the system, and that Chainlink helped to bootstrap DeFi.
We respect their skills and achievements. The oracle space needs healthy competition that drives progress, not toxic behavior. CatfishFishy and I can have our exchanges of views, but ultimately, we're all playing to grow the crypto pie. That is what matters long term.
It's your choice to be anonymous or public: that's a personal decision.
But targeting someone's identity to cabal against them is not the crypto industry I want to build.
Our top priority remains building the most reliable and useful oracle technology for the crypto ecosystem. That's where our energy goes.
After this, I'm only more certain what I and RedStone strive for and where our integrity lies - on supporting builders with the highest quality and reliability of blockchain oracles data.
We've grown RedStone from 15 to more than 50 people over the last year. Our team has shipped Bolt, Atom, Credora DeFi Ratings, dozens of network launches, and tokenized asset feeds for the world's biggest financial institutions.
We've helped over a hundred clients expand and reach their potential. We built RedStone to make crypto a better place by offering best-in-class products and building honest relationships. That's how we measure our success.
Here's RedStone's Official statement: https://t.co/GAwOEcgG9p
We're committed to staying on that course and keeping our values intact as we scale. Our foundation and motto doesn't change:
By builders, for builders.
“Circle and Tether have already won the stablecoin battle”
There is a small team building on @aoTheComputer I think are seriously flying under the radar right now.
—
@AstroUSD is an overcollateralized stablecoin backed by other stablecoins, starting with USDC, USDT, and DAI. At first glance, they position as a unified liquidity layer for stables on AO. But what’s important to understand is their strategy.
In one sentence: They are starting by maximizing the Stablecoin Developer Experience and building up.
What does that mean? Part of the key insight to Astro is understanding all of the deposits they enable are yield-bearing or capable of generating yield. This earns Astro a revenue stream directly proportional to their TVL.
Enter Stablecoin Developer Experience: What I find most interesting is what they do with the yield; Astro redistributes it to applications directly in proportion to their usage of the Astro Protocol.
This means builders and teams have a new incentive to build on Astro over other stablecoins and the opportunity to earn a new revenue stream from capital that was already going to flow in.
You don’t earn by accepting payments in USDC, and certainly not Tether. You can now with Astro.
—
The other big reason Astro are small but mighty is because of their team. @kadar1 has been studying stablecoins for years on both the finance and legal fronts. He and his team also have institutional experience previously working at Copper, so they understand the importance of security and compliance, and they already understand what retail and institutions want.
They are also FAST. They ship fast. They iterate fast. They partner fast.
—
Not excited about AO? Doesn’t matter. You don’t need conviction in it.
Astro is building rails, powered by AO, that can service other ecosystems. Their market isn’t just hinged on AO, but their success brings AO liquidity. Starting with application adoption.
—
If you are excited about AO, Astro has already won. Their first product launch was the first wrapped form of AR on AO backed by an institutional custodian.
QAR enabled Astro to meet every team building in the ecosystem, establish a relationship, integrate, and scale. It was the first test of the rails they’ve been working on, and now QAR is ubiquitous across just about every product in AO and has millions in TVL.
—
There is a lack of imagination in payments with crypto right now. Ramping is hard, trading is hard, compliance is hard.
I’m excited to see what @AstroUSD have in store for these problems above developer experience, but more importantly, I’ll be exited to see when the world realizes what this team is up to.
What do you think of Astro?

AO mainnet is now live.
This is a huge step towards the kind of internet we in the @ArweaveEco have been building towards. I am immensely grateful to the incredible builders and our amazing community who worked so hard to make this happen. While this is a major milestone, we also know this is just the beginning.
My motivation for building AO comes from the same place as Arweave: I believe our online lives should come with guaranteed, immutable rights. Just as constitutions guarantee our rights in physical space. As we spend more and more time online, it's essential to ensure the rights we cherish are not lost.
Arweave laid the groundwork by providing permanent, decentralized, and uncensorable data storage. With AO, we're building on that foundation, adding a decentralized, open-access supercomputer directly connected to the internet. This enables confidential, decentralized computation and helps us shift away from the centralized control of Web2, opening up access to information and opportunity for more people.
This launch marks a new chapter, and I'm so excited to share it with you all.
To the future.
