KASESE YOUTH-LED ORGANIZATION NeFCoRD WINS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD
The New Life Foundation for Community Rural Development (NeFCoRD), a community-based organization in Kasese - Western Uganda, has been recognized as one of Uganda's outstanding youth-led organizations advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Honored by the United Nations, the Uganda Youth Coalition for SDGs ( @Youth4SDGsUga ), and the @GovUganda , NeFCoRD was commended for its commitment to empowering youth and communities through sports, education, gender equality, and climate action.
This recognition is a testament to NeFCoRD's dedication to creating positive change in Uganda, made possible through the support of partners such as @LaGuilde_Action, @SportEnCommun, @FIFAcom, @Olympics, and @UbuntuLeadersAc, among others.
NeFCoRD's achievement showcases the impact that can be made when youth lead with purpose and partnership, serving as a beacon of hope for the future of sustainable development in Uganda.

The workshop that doubled as both the launch for the Uganda and South Sudan Ubuntu Leaders Academy launch, started with the training of 15 Trainers of Trainers for two days and there after the trained trainers managed the five days training for 15 Participants .

Training of 15 trainers and 15 trainees drawn from Uganda and South Sudan were trained during the Ubuntu Leaders Academy training that took place in Jinja City in Uganda as from 25th November to 1st December 2023.

In Zimbabwe the project already has started gaining momentum after the training of the first Cohort of Leaders at Murape last year. Currently Training of Trainers sessions are scheduled to be conducted in 10 schools with educators and student leaderd from 40 schools.

In Partnership with @MietAfrica the @UbuntuLeadersAc in Zimbabwe is part of the Future Life Now project scaling up in the SADC countries Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Zambia and Malawi.
Organized under the leadership of the Ubuntu Club of @TaitaTavetaUni the event brought together participants and trainers from the six coastal counties of Kenya. Testimonies on topics such as climate transition, nature preservation and animal protection, women's rights.
