Just received the sad and shocking news of the murder in cold blood of the Head of the Ndiga Clan of Buganda Kingdom, Eng. Daniel Bbosa Lwomwa. As I will speak later, the now deceased elder has been my maternal uncle, who was closely related to our late mother.
As media reports indicate that the citizens were vigilant and pursued and captured the assailants, every citizen hopes that this time around, the cause and motive of this murder will be investigated swiftly and efficiently and the perpetrators brought to justice.
Gutusinze nnyo Ayi Ssaabasajja!
VIDEO: Focus is now on strengthening and consolidating the @NUP_Ug support base in Buganda, a region I head as Deputy President. We started off with a retreat for NUP leaders in Masaka.

QUOTE: "Even leaders can turn into bad people. If something falls in milk, you must not let it stay there – but remove it before the milk gets bad. We should be careful. We must not only praise ourselves, but critic ourselves too or, the movement fails," President @KagutaMuseveni on June 10, 1997.

But you guys who keep telling guys who throw passes at us mbu they won’t chew, mubijawa? Please stop blowing away our blessings in the name of trying to be funny.

Nonsense!! 😏😡
Earlier today, we had a meeting with the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda. The meeting was supposed to be attended by our President @HEBobiwine, Dr. @kizzabesigye1, @EriasLukwago and others who are either under house arrest or being pursued by the military! We addressed several issues of national importance including human rights violations, a shrinking civic space, run away corruption, illegal detentions and abductions, land grabbing, etc. We are looking forward to a follow-up meeting to address these issues in detail.
Despite the continued and increasing deployment at my home in Magere and the frantic efforts by the police and military to trace me and arrest me, I was delighted this morning to join other faithfuls at Jinja Karoli Catholic Parish in Kawempe.
I am most grateful to Rev. Father Charles Kimbowa for welcoming and blessing me, and the entire Church for the warm reception and prayers.
Even in situations of great trials and persecution, there is no better place to find comfort and encouragement than the House of God.
And yes, there is no better feeling of safety than being amongst the people who love you and wish you well. Wishing you all a blessed Sunday afternoon.
Today, 41 years ago marks the beginning of the darkest period in post independence Zimbabwe’s political history.
#Gukurahundi is/was a genocide weaponised by the ZanuPf led Zimbabwe government to consolidate power by targeting the entire Ndebele tribe for rejecting ZanuPf and voting for the Joshua Nkomo led ZAPU.
#Gukurahundi is the worst case of political violence to ever be recorded in Zimbabwe.
The illegal politically motivated prolonged detentions of political prisoners in post independence Zimbabwe began during the #Gukurahundi with the likes of Lookout Masuku and many more victimised.
The politically motivated abductions and kidnappings, torture and murders we are experiencing today were first introduced during #Gukurahundi to target the opposition.
The persecution of opposition Members of Parliament we see today was introduced during #Gukurahundi when Hon Sidney Malunga and others were arrested and jailed on politically motivated charges.
The forced exiles we are experience today were introduced during #Gukurahundi when ordinary citizens and main opposition ZAPU supporters and leaders had to flee Zimbabwe with their lives.
It is because the perpetrators of the #Gukurahundi genocide against the Ndebele think they got away with a massacre of over 20 000 Zimbabwean citizens; they are motivated in committing more sadistic acts of political violence for power retention.
That is why we have the 2002, 2008, 2018 and current spates of politically motivated violence; the killing system thinks that it can get away with any murder because they are self convinced they got away with a whole genocide.
If we are to genuinely deal with political violence in Zimbabwe, let’s resolve the #Gukurahundi genocide first!!!
Let’s demand JUSTICE, PEACE and REPARATIONS!
@TaremwaDidmas@NAM_ChairAZ@NAM_Uganda @Groupof77 A predatory Junta (eating citizens) can’t be compared to a father in a home! A “father” can’t kill, torture or enslave his own children!
It was a somber moment as we gathered yesterday to send off late Sam Bbaale, the brother to our sister Florence Namayanja, the mayor of #MasakaCity which I'm privileged to represent in Parliament
To all @NUP_Ug leaders in greater Masaka esp MPs, thank you for turning up

the ruse he sold regarding his commitment to cease fire and fully participate in the Nairobi Peace Talks (also known as the Nairobi Peace Jokes) yet his rebel forces were simultaneously advancing on (and later on captured) Kampala; his perennial mind games on the leadership of religions and kingdoms in Uganda; and the false alliance he made with MPs who zealously supported his bid for the removal of the presidential age limit, only for him to sacrifice them at the altar of the 2021 elections to appease an angry population.
In the words of my friend Betty Nambooze, “if Museveni asks you to wait for him on the road that leads to Masaka, do yourself a favour and instead wait for him on the road that leads to Jinja.” Founding father Milton Obote who was his boss at a time designated him “a pathological liar who only tells the truth by accident.” One commentator whose name eludes me once hilariously quipped that if you shake hands with Museveni, check to see that you still have all five fingers. Against such a backdrop, why would anyone believe that for something as crucial as transition or succession, Museveni would play his cards so openly as to show us his heir apparent?
Let me conclude this way:
The only real utility that the MK Project possesses for Museveni is twofold:
i. By deliberately hyping up a Kainerugaba presidency, Museveni forces the public to look favourably upon his continued rule because he is the Devil we know…and that Muhoozi would certainly be an unmitigated disaster. This reduces the spotlight on his forty-year-reign, as the “bewildered herd” gets distracted by the theatrics of the MK project.
ii. Assuming that a real crown prince exists, the MK Project helps the ruling family to conceal the identity of that person, while we chase after shadows.
In the end, the Ugandan public will be the ultimate loser in this long con. After all, Baalam Barugahara & Co., don’t care who takes power next or what happens to the country, as long as their stomachs are full.
For these reasons, I hold the considered view that the MK Project is the latest in a series of hoaxes, not worth the undivided attention of Ugandans.
Let’s focus on getting rid of Museveni and Musevenism—and the task of restoring our society to its past glory and dignity. 2/2
