@SomeGuy40085367@_TK_555555 The character has a green tone thats the only aztec resemblance, which also represents death in egyptian cuture. the headress, snakes, beatles, beard, funeral mask all clearly egyptian. but yeah that ebay image barely resembles it ig
@Magzimus@lfjncl9891@GamingDudeDrew That's my point exactly. The original games standard wasn't accuracy, they clearly went for looking more stylised and cool over being accurate. I would argue Sekhmet looks worse than every other god we've seen previously, but not because its different from the standard. Hades btw
@Magzimus@lfjncl9891@GamingDudeDrew Yes that is what holding someone to a standard means unless you establish otherwise. Sorry I miss worded it, you are trying to hold them to a standard that isn't established for the series. should I hold the gameplay to the same standard we hold chess?
@Magzimus@lfjncl9891@GamingDudeDrew You can, that's just not what you said. you aren't holding them to any standard is all i'm saying bud. Like I said I have issues with Sekhmet's design, I can also have an opinion on your opinion 🙂
@Magzimus@lfjncl9891@GamingDudeDrew Do you understand what a standard is? baseline, norm, point of reference. The standard for GoW games is stylised interpretations of Gods. Not accuracy. Holding them to a standard would be the opposite of what you're doing. that would be a legitimate critique.
@Magzimus@GamingDudeDrew Well if people held the older games to that standard fair enough. We don't though because no one has an agenda against the older games. Imo there are issues with sekhmets design, but i want it to be less accurate and more stylised... like they've established already.
@Deino_vesteris@Camusaurio_art@Yeenie_Mcbeenie Kratos stabs himself to release hope yeah, and humanity does start to rebuild (you see on a vase in 2018). But freya states his magic is gone because magic is tied to the land and the Greek world is dead. The gods might not have been in the Greek world tbf.
@Camusaurio_art@Yeenie_Mcbeenie You destroy the Greek world in GoW 3 and Freya confirms the Greek world is dead in GoW 2018 (its why Kratos has no powers), so unless they left the Greek world they're probs dead.
@lfjncl9891@wah_epic@AhmedBoos04 The tournament seems like it probably would have been a multiple day kind of thing. The battles felt long. I get your point though, ultimately its a nit picky critique.
@lfjncl9891@wah_epic@AhmedBoos04 right but that makes sense the flashback pauses time it can go as long as it needs to. Dressrosa had flashbacks too but they were only 16 chapters out of 100, yet it feels like alot more time passed on Dressrosa than there has on Elbaf.
@lfjncl9891@wah_epic@AhmedBoos04 I think we generally agree bro, I just find it hard to believe Dressrosa was only one day when it was 100+ chapters y'know?
@lfjncl9891@wah_epic@AhmedBoos04 yeah and I agree, the story wont suffer as much from pacing issues (manga atleast, the anime is still rough). I dont even think its a slog, but ive definitely felt like nothing happened in afew chapters out of 1000+ lol
@lfjncl9891@wah_epic@AhmedBoos04 yeah and they might be right to levy that criticism? it depends on the story. I don't think you get to dodge pacing critique for weekly consumption... when you're releasing for weekly consumption. you can also both write for weekly consumption and endgame.
@lfjncl9891@wah_epic@AhmedBoos04 Yeah it's more similar to early one piece pacing, which was faster. I dont think the time is moving at the same pace. It just feels inconsistent throughout the series.
@lfjncl9891@wah_epic@AhmedBoos04 yeah that's fair, I've been up to date for 10 years now. but I don't think pacing matters to people who read all at once, you get to choose your own pace. you cant really have an opinion on manga pacing while binging it.
