@beachgothdotdad@Zennistrad What is the point of that? Just say 'key word: no' instead of making a redundant tweet.
By the way a genre is formed through the consistent use of tropes, conventions and themes. There would be no genres if everything had to be a subversion.
@odonbaatr@NineOuh90 Doesn’t make much sense for Cyberpunk thematically though. At the very least it should be bittersweet. Even 2077 has no achievable ‘good ending’. Every ending has a few bad things happen
As a dystopia, the world is rigged in favour of Corporations and against the protagonist.

@ilua_linerin@aevanko Well, I meant that you’re comparing the ‘definitive’ version of Dragon’s Dogma to the pre-update, pre-expansion base game. A fair few people didn’t like the base game for DD but DA made so,e changes they were happy with.
@ilua_linerin@aevanko This IS dark arisen, that's why it wasn't in the base game. They're doing free updates though. One came a little bit ago and the other is coming in august. They're mostly tweaks but it lays the groundwork for DA.
@vayne_ryu@MoreLimitless I’d even argue that feats like surviving Teraflare also vary. We have no absolute way of comparing Donald’s Teraflare to Dion’s. They’re both interpretations of the same spell, yes, but *interpretation* is the key word. The same applies to basically everything about Final Fantasy
@vayne_ryu@MoreLimitless That last point is unconfirmed. It’s an ambiguous ending for a reason.
I also think it’s redundant to compare the ‘god’ antagonists since they can really vary in strength at times. Power scaling never takes world laws into account anyhow.
@__K8r@jackcrawford__ I get that, I’ve died a few times just to the fact I didn’t consider angles. But you can also approach things from a more outside the box perspective too. You can hide amongst things or try to vaguely resemble another object. There’s been times where I sat in a corner and won.
@anribrainrot@poormrworry@Zalaphrax This applies to basically everything else. Nothing is spoiled because we view everything from an in-universe perspective. They can’t show future events because they hadn’t happened yet and that would imply a character can see the future (which they obviously cannot)
@anribrainrot@poormrworry@Zalaphrax No, hearing about the shooting out of context does not spoil anything. Naturally, a prequel will mention/show any events from within the depicted time period. That is how a prequel (or foreshadowing in from a chronological perspective) works.
@Jiggle_PhsyxFan@nhamaguc Obviously, Tifa’s case is probably a little different. It’s either censorship or an according to what they feel makes a little more sense (since the original’ in high definition takes it literally). I would say censorship, but her swimming outfit is pretty bold.
@Jiggle_PhsyxFan@nhamaguc Looks very similar to AC to me? Obviously the character designs changed in AC because it’s set after the original. This is essentially just AC artstyle with reworked outfits to better fit the proportions (at least for Barrett)
@Jiggle_PhsyxFan@nhamaguc As for the rest of the images, it lines up with the character designs from later depictions. Barret was never going to have those proportions.
The environments were adapted very well. Naturally there's going to be some differences since they aren't pre-rendered and low quality.
@Jiggle_PhsyxFan@nhamaguc The only thing you posted which is notably different is Tifa. It's also an odd choice to use a 3D render of her for the comparison (not from the original) when using screenshots/artwork for the other images. It makes your point redundant.
