1 litre of petrol emits about 2.3 kg of CO₂. A commute using 8 litres/day = ~18.5 kg CO₂/day, ~407 kg/month (22 workdays), and ~4.9 tonnes/year (264 workdays) per employee.

Multiply that by thousands of commuters in Mumbai or Bengaluru. If the same work can be done from home, imagine the emissions avoided.
