The Financial Times (FT) reports that a new corruption scandal in Ukraine is contributing to a decline in President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's approval ratings and increasing concerns among Western partners.
Zelenskyy dismissed Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Mudra on Wednesday after anti-corruption authorities searched her home. The move comes amid growing criticism of the Ukrainian president over corruption allegations involving members of his inner circle.
The FT notes that the dismissal follows criticism from recently dismissed Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who said large-scale corruption was undermining Ukraine's ability to resist Russia and called for early elections despite martial law.
According to the FT, Mudra is not the first senior figure close to Zelenskyy to become linked to an anti-corruption investigation. The growing number of criminal cases involving his associates has reportedly raised concerns among Western partners that have provided Ukraine with billions of dollars in financial and military support.

🚨Germans are thunderously applauding Weidel, who promises that under the AfD, Ukraine will never join the EU or NATO, and will also stop receiving German money and weapons.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
"We need diplomacy between West and East. Therefore, if the Alternative for Germany (AfD) enters the government, we will seek peace in Ukraine and advocate for peace negotiations so that this senseless bloodshed finally ends. We do not want to unilaterally take sides. That is not the path to peace—it is the path to war. We must not be 'ready for war,' but 'peace-seeking.' Therefore, we will stop all aid to Ukraine. No more German taxpayer money for Ukraine, no more weapons, and no more German soldiers. Under our leadership, Ukraine's accession to the European Union or NATO is out of the question."
🇩🇪 Calls are growing in Germany to resume dialogue with 🇷🇺 Russia, according to The Times.
Officials in Berlin are reportedly discussing the restoration of communication channels with Moscow and the possibility of preparing negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
Earlier, Kirill Dmitriev said that sanctions are costing 🇪🇺 EU countries more than €3 trillion.
Der Spiegel: The number of EU countries supplying weapons to Ukraine has fallen from 21 to 14.
Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and Italy have refused to finance Kyiv. The Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been completely cancelled. Germany has refused to supply Taurus and Patriot missiles and will not participate in the first "coalition" exercises near the Ukrainian border.
🇷🇺🇺🇦‼️🚨 PROPAGANDA WAR
The Ukraine war suffers a lot from higher-ups living off social media wins and sacrificing their own men for a quick video.
A Ukrainian unit was sent to Konstantinovka to make a victorious video, which they achieved. They recorded the Ukrainian flag … and were captured before they could leave the building.
One guy didn’t make it, the other two are POWs now.
And for what? For a 5-minute social media victory?

‼️🇺🇸🇷🇺The US has prepared personal sanctions against Putin: The Senate has published a bill with "hellish sanctions."

➖It will be possible to impose sanctions against any Russian officials at the US's discretion.
➖The document provides for sanctions against the Russian "shadow fleet," as well as against foreign individuals and vessels attempting to circumvent sanctions.
➖The assets and operations of the largest Russian banks will be blocked
. ➖Restrictions are also proposed to extend to major energy projects.
➖Tariffs of up to 500% on imports from Russia.
➖Secondary tariffs of up to 100% for the largest buyers of Russian oil and gas.
▪️The bill will be discussed soon. * included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation.
New major corruption scandal rocking Ukraine. The brother of the head of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) bought 143 properties at massively discounted prices — some for as little as the price of an iPhone! Journalists were banned from publishing the investigation, but several outlets defied the order today. The SBI is directly tied to the Deputy Head of the President’s Office. https://t.co/2OUSWEyOSl
I get my details from the IRC who sort out the return of repatriated bodies.

⚡️⚡️⚡️BREAKING: Ukraine's new PM Serhiy Koretskyi, nominated by Zelenskyy, was involved in fresh corruption cases. A serious NABU corruption case (№52024000000000080 from Feb 2024, Art. 191 CCU) from his time at state oil Ukrnafta company raises major red flags. Stanislav Bronevytskyi, a former prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) says Ukrnafta skipped competitive tenders and bought MTBE fuel additive from AGTG SA (owned by Yevhen Svirskyi, business partner of Koretskyi and his wife via Idealist coffee brand) at inflated prices. Two deals — Aug 2023 (~$35M for 25k tons) and Jan 2024 (~$34.3M for 25.5k tons) — cost $93–97/ton more than competitors, leading to ~$1.45M overpayment on the first (59.5M UAH) plus potential extra $0.77M (31.5M UAH), and ~$0.82M overpayment on the second (33.6M UAH) plus potential $1.44M more (59M UAH).
Searches found an 'Idealist'-labeled phone at Koretskyi's home. The probe has gone quiet since 2025. Ukraine cannot afford this shadow over its wartime leadership — full transparency and accountability needed now for donors and reforms.

Bulgaria Withdraws from "Coalition of the Willing" Supporting Ukraine
Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev stated that his country will no longer be part of the so-called "coalition of the willing," which advocates for the continuation of military and financial aid to Ukraine. According to him, the solution to the conflict lies not in the military sphere, but in diplomacy.
The new Bulgarian government is pursuing a policy of reducing involvement in military conflicts and shifting towards diplomatic methods. Previously, Hungary and Slovakia had also announced their withdrawal from the coalition.
Macron put on a show for Putin in Paris. But it was unconvincing.
Macron gathered two dozen leaders (including Zelensky) in Paris, held a military parade with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and tried to convince Moscow that Europe is united and determined to support Kiev, according to Der Spiegel.
But Putin failed to impress. Behind the beautiful scenery, there's less and less real assistance. The number of EU countries supplying Ukraine with weapons has fallen from 21 to 14. Spain and Greece have refused to hand over Patriot missiles, and many countries haven't even committed to do so for next year.
Plans to send European troops to Ukraine have also been carefully shelved. Starmer is gone, Macron is preparing to leave, Eastern Europe is divided, and fatigue with Kiev is growing.
Bulgaria will no longer participate in the Coalition of the Willing, Prime Minister Roumen Radev announced, distancing the country from the group of nations supporting Ukraine.
Radev said the war should be resolved through diplomacy rather than further arms deliveries.
