Once again, Kyiv has lived through a massive air attack. Russia launched dozens of ballistic and cruise missiles, killing at least 12 and injuring around 40 others.

A residential building, an industrial facility, warehouses, hospitals, cars, a school, and a store were damaged. In the Kyiv region, one person was killed and seven others were injured. Four private residential buildings were destroyed, while another four were damaged. In the Odesa region, Russia carried out a drone attack on a border crossing with Moldova. In the Chernihiv region, the enemy targeted gas infrastructure.

As rescuers are working to save people in the aftermath of the deadly attack, the world must act decisively to provide Ukraine with more air defense capabilities. New packages mean more lives saved and infrastructure protected every day. As long as Ukraine lacks the air defense needed to counter ballistic threats, Russia will not consider peace seriously.

Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone “safari” Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson. A Russian drone deliberately hunted down a man selling vegetables and detonated right next to him. The Russians even admitted to the crime, showing zero regret and openly boasting about tormenting people. The man was wounded in the blast. Every single day, ordinary people in Kherson face these Russian "safaris."

The world must see this. It must see every piece of evidence that Russia has gone mad and that its soldiers take pleasure in killing and abusing civilians. Without pressure on Russia, the dismantling of its capacity for aggression, and real security guarantees, it is simply impossible to imagine the world being able to coexist with this evil. We must remain resolute in defending life. We must act and support life in ways that force Russia to seriously think about peace rather than expanding the range of its drones.

This is not just about Ukraine. Russia’s campaign against human life must be stopped here in Ukraine before it spreads further. Finland and Kazakhstan, the Baltic states and Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, Romania, and Moldova—all should work together to ensure real security guarantees and bring Russia’s war to an end. Peace is needed, which requires cooperation among everyone in the world who truly values peace. Thank you to everyone standing with Ukraine!

I spent part of this night in the bomb shelter.

You stop counting time after the first explosions. Then another blast comes. And another. Your phone fills with alerts. People stop talking. They just listen, waiting to hear whether the next missile is coming closer.

Last night, Russia launched the most massive ballistic missile attack on Kyiv since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Around 40 ballistic missiles in roughly 40 minutes. Iskanders. Zircons. S-400s. More than forty explosions echoed across the city before dawn.

This was not an attack on military targets. Fires broke out in residential buildings, a supermarket, dormitories and office buildings. Cars burned in the streets. The entrance to Lukyanivska metro station was heavily damaged. One person has already been reported killed, 15 others injured. And the full picture is still emerging.

While Kyiv was under attack, Russia also struck again a passenger train in the Zaporizhzhia region with a drone. Only the quick evacuation of passengers prevented an even greater tragedy.

Constant fear. Constant pressure for more than 4 years. I’d really wished to see where is the end of this terror. Of these constant war crimes.
