Serhii Podlianov was born on November 20–21, 2022, in Vilnyansk (Zaporizhzhia region). Weight ~2.6 kg. The family’s fourth child. The father never saw him alive.
On the night of November 23, a Russian missile hit the maternity ward directly. The mother survived. The explosion threw the baby out of his crib. Rescuers initially mistook him for a doll.
He was two days old. They didn’t even have time to issue a birth certificate.
This is not “collateral damage.” This is a deliberate strike on a maternity hospital.

Among the dead was 4-year-old Elizabeth Dmytriieva. A girl with Down syndrome who had just learned to push her pink stroller.
An hour before the strike, her mother filmed Liza happily walking to a speech therapy session. Then Iryna saw the missile fly right over them. Then — her daughter’s body.
The bloodied stroller went around the world. Liza became one of the symbols of Russia targeting civilians far from the front lines.

Sofia Konyshcheva was 23 days old.
She was born on July 22, 2023, in the village of Shyroka Balka in the Kherson region. Her parents didn’t even have time to officially register her.
On August 13, the Russians opened fire. The family ran to a neighbor’s basement — they didn’t make it. The shell exploded right in the yard.
Sofia, her mother Olesya, her father Dmytro, and her 11-year-old brother Artem were killed. The boy kept calling for his mother for several more hours.

17-month-old Adam Buhayov, his 27-year-old mother Sofia, and his 68-year-old great-grandmother Tetyana Tarasevych were killed.
They had just returned from a walk and were about to have lunch.
They were buried together. Plush teddy bears cover the grave.

Before the full-scale invasion, 4-year-old Sashko Zdanovych-Yakhno was staying with his grandmother in the village of Sukholuchchia in the Kyiv region. Due to fighting and destroyed bridges, the family could not leave for more than two weeks.
On March 10, 2022, when Russian heavy equipment entered the village, locals tried to evacuate in two motorboats across the Kyiv Reservoir. The boat carrying Sashko and his grandmother came under fire and capsized. His grandmother drowned, and the boy, wearing a life jacket, disappeared. All of Ukraine searched for him for nearly three weeks. His body was found in early April — he died from a gunshot wound.
