People are afraid to call these people out (because they don't want to appear on 'the wrong side' of the issue and be harassed themselves) but this is depraved, mentally ill behavior. These people have basically taken this issue and used it as justification to act like anti-social freaks and harass anyone who they think is even in slight disagreement with them.

It's very dangerous and is obviously going to lead to (more) violence.
