@MattWalshBlog I have watched the History Channel’s “…Who Built America” series (Men, Frontiersman, Titans) several times just to have a glimpse into these incredible stories. I’m so proud to be an American, and if we don’t tell our stories, how will generations to come know who we are?
@kimmie_c_ Yep! McD’s was a rare “treat” and going to a restaurant was for birthdays only. Mom made dinner every single night for a family sit-down. No complaints.
@Huff4Congress I was 10 in DC for the bicentennial. Now I am heading to DC again for the 250th — been planning for a year. I want to immerse myself in our history and feel USA pride. You can’t wait for it to come to you. You have to decide you care then act like it.
@0hour1 We still play cribbage in my family — the 20-somethings all the way up to the 80-somethings. After dinner cheering each other on. Generational.
