@stunlokked@NazoXIII@VideoCardz Pretty sure when you actually look up the datasheet for the older 8pin rather than guessing you'll find each pin can only carry a similar but still slightly less 9A.
3rd party mods aren't going to fix this unless they put a whole 600W dcdc converter in the cable.
@stunlokked@NazoXIII@VideoCardz No they are not, Lack of balancing current across them is the fundamental issue. Every pin can take 9,5A (110W@12V), if you overload them by up to 4x because your're too cheap to put shunts and mosfets it stops being a connector issue.
@NazoXIII@stunlokked@VideoCardz Nope, it's rather 40 and 50 series cards don't do load balancing across the connector pins as <=30 series cards did. So all the current goes over less, basically randomly chosen, pins. There's a ton of content on this, but it's easier to say connector bad. https://t.co/YCKxTAcn3G
@Fushi_Wai@wccftech There's literally people who break down why it happens into video. https://t.co/JyK8V9Z71X and https://t.co/Jqlm5dcGJb (timestamp)
You see how current isn't balanced?
Airflow won't fix that... Hasn't happened to me yet, isn't a fix nor a diagnosis.
@ErnestoPix@seisaku_tyosaku Don't be dumb. As shown putting drains in high spots creates important jobs without which the economy would collapse and drive people into homelessness.
@VoidStateKate@AnthropicAI It is? iirc Claude never told me to go sleep so far. It's 4 am soon, Claude and I are working on a cfw for a thing, no mention of sleep whatsoever. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just in case anyone else wants to quickly dump a spi flash and only has a clone rp2040:
Opensensor's build works https://t.co/GAZqO24aDD while those from stacksmashing (fails to sync) and Riku_V (fails to read) don't.
