So what I am saying is that you are assuming a very basic notion of welfare. WHAT IF welfare is best measured by spiritual communion with God? Then we go right back to the main question:
_- Does God exist, and what do we do to be in communion with Him?

@pablov950 @adorientem So if it is welfare, then we need to define WHOSE welfare, at WHOSE expense (since the welfare of some can be at the expense of others), and who defines what welfare actually looks like. We could imagine an action that is for the welfare of 99% of the world at one man's suffering

@DesertCity66 @majestyofreason @RandalRauser So it wouldn't matter if you think that LGBTQ+ acts are rightly ordered or if Muslims think that child-adult marriages are rightly-ordered. If Christianity is true, then you would both be wrong. You can be incredulous, but it doesn't matter.
