Today, Thursday, April 30, 2026, at just after 10 a.m., we received a phone call that led us to the 4300 block of 14 Street N.W. Upon arrival, we located a vehicle with two deceased children inside. At this time, the deaths are believed to be suspicious and our Homicide Unit is investigating. We have one person in custody and there is no further risk to the public.

We understand that this incident is deeply upsetting and will greatly impact the families and loved ones of the children, their communities and our entire city.
