The fight against HIV remains high on the global agenda, as President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah met with Ms. Winnie Byanyima, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of UNAIDS, to reaffirm shared priorities in the response.
The discussions underscored the importance of sustaining momentum in the HIV response, ensuring a safe and responsible institutional transition for UNAIDS as part of ongoing UN reform efforts, and advancing the Accra Reset’s vision alongside Africa’s broader push toward health sovereignty.
