🚨‼️ THROWBACK: On October 27, 2024, Gunfire 💥💥🔫 broke out following an altercation outside the Venus Event Center located on East Braker Lane (identified in reports as Michelobos Sports Bar) in Northeast Austin, Texas.

A gunman, Clayton Taitague, 22yr, shot 💥🔫 and killed ☠️ Tyler Cochran, 30yr, after an altercation.

An armed security guard witnessing the incident then responded immediately, shooting and injuring Clayton Taitague. Taitague survived his injuries, was hospitalized, and is subsequently charged with first-degree murder.

Bodycam footage and viral cellphone videos of the incident were widely released by police in mid-November 2024

.The evidence showed that a verbal argument in the parking lot escalated into a physical fight, during which 20-year-old Clayton Taitague obtained a firearm from a vehicle and shot 30-year-old Tyler Cochran nine times, killing him.
After being discharged from the hospital for his own gunshot wounds, Clayton Taitague was formally booked into the Travis County Jail and charged with first-degree murder.

The investigation officially concluded that the on-site security guard acted entirely in lawful self-defense and the defense of others. Video evidence confirmed the guard fired at Taitague only after Taitague had shot Cochran and appeared to be moving to fire at him again. Consequently, APD cleared the security guard of any wrongdoing, and no charges were filed against him
