A name given to him by his step-father who he has middling feelings about at best after 50 years

My real grandfather died in some Italian War before he even heard of my dad (supposedly no love lost, god bless, but good riddance)

My father has many flaws but he is without a doubt the greatest man I know and I worship (not sacrilegiously) the ground he walks on because of the unimaginable skills and paternal leadership he developed without a clear cut guide

In a world of weak men, myself included, I strive to be like him. Better; but just like him.

This is actually a classic bad faith move by a business, and the correct response is to decline and negotiate.

The moment they told him he wasn't ready, he should have started job hunting. What that really means is "we don't want you to quit because we need you but we're never going to promote you."

The days of "proving yourself" are gone. Businesses rarely reward that. Instead, they'll just grind you up.

I get your point, but they are BOTH children. This would qualify as a “reasonable equality” which justifies letting her have a chance to sort this herself.

The parents should rightfully be concerned (they are, he took her out), but you can’t deny children access to life and adventure simply because there is danger. They’ll go find it anyway. They’ll just do it out of spite instead of responsibility.

You have to quell your own (legitimate) paranoia with patience. This is why parenting is hard, because you HAVE to let them go into dangerous situations. You can’t protect them forever.

I don’t see him as an advocate of anything other than degeneracy and hedonism. That’s not inherently conservative. You could argue it’s Republican/MAGA, but conservative as a principle is defined by a “conserving” including with your time and energy. So his/others claims may say republican, but in reality there is very little “conservative” about his behavior/principles. Thats not hard to spot.

I’d argue that his usual behaviors are more in line with the freedoms and liberties typically championed by liberals. Which would make the claim of him being conservative questionable, at best.

And liberals are outed as pedophiles all the time. Pedophilia is a universal issue, not one sided like you’re trying to portray.

Also we all notice how hard you’re trying to confirm that to yourself. Just accept that unfortunately, monsters are everywhere, not just “the other side”
