🏷️Not all picks are valued the same, so now my model could identify what it views as a “good”, “neutral”, or “bad” value pick.

🔒The strongest pick today is Rangers ML (-132).

Yankees starter Will Warren (4.64 ERA) takes on Rangers ace Nathan Eovaldi (1.49 ERA).

Eovaldi has been insanely good over the past month. In July, he pitched to a 0.59 ERA, where the Rangers won in all of his five starts. Now, he faces a struggling Yankees team that was just swept by the Marlins. In 166 PAs, Yankees hitters have a slash line of .259/.295/.437 against Eovaldi, but Aaron Judge is absent from this contest. Texas’ bullpen also boasts the second best ERA in the league (3.34), so the pitching advantage is in huge favor of the Rangers. Furthermore, the Yankees offense has been struggling without Aaron Judge, as the lineup is pretty easy to navigate.

As for Will Warren, he’s going to have to face the red hot Rangers offense on the road where he has an inflated 7.20 ERA. The Yankees’ bullpen has been a mess, so if Warren has one of his blow up starts the help is questionable. Warren did have a good start earlier this year against the Rangers where he threw 5.2 shutout innings and 10 Ks, but that was at home where he has a 2.88 ERA. He has bad road struggles where he’s let up 13 runs across his last two road starts combined in only 7.2 IP.

Texas has a better starting pitcher, bullpen, and offense in this matchup.

My model projects the Rangers to win by 1.14 runs.
