May pride not make you miss life changing opportunities, some people are so proud they won't humble themselves and learn from others.
Such a weird thing.
You scroll past 10 make money online posts a day.
You save them.
Screenshot them.
Send them to yourself.
But you never act.
That's not lack of information. That's fear dressed up as research.
At some point you have to decide:
Are you collecting ideas or building a life?
If you're a freelancer, please, I beg you in the name of God, have at least one platform where you consistently show up and showcase your work. 🙏
Clients don't just read your CV or portfolio, they check your online presence to verify what you actually do.
Especially if you're a marketer.
If you're selling visibility, branding, and audience growth, people expect to see evidence of that in your own online presence.
Your profile is often your first proof of work.
I'm not supposed to share but here's the single best copywriting trick I learned from a multi-millionaire marketer:
Write your headline for skeptics, your body copy for believers.
Your wedding doesn't have to be the biggest or most elaborate.
Hey bro/sis, while you're waiting to save enough for that dream wedding, another Saturday is gone.
Don't delay a lifetime commitment because of a one-day event.
Do the needful….
Reach out to people and say hi to them.
It is not everytime you have problem or request you must reach out to people.
Sometimes, do it randomly and let them know you're just checking on them.
They will rate you highly and they'll know you're a REAL one.
Every book you publish that flops is teaching you something the winners taught nobody. What title works. What audience buys. What price converts. By your tenth book you are not guessing anymore. That knowledge only comes from staying in the game.
A customer did something that got me wondering till today.
Never been to my business before.
But came in that evening, very furious.
And started ranting...
"I'm one of their top customers"
"Why won't they blablabla...?"
Kudos to my guys who calmed him.
We welcomed him, and marketed our edge to him.
"You mean I've been missing at all this while?"
We registered him as our TOP LEVEL customer.
Beep... He received the SMS.
Sales submitted, Beep... He received the SMS stating his name, the amount he bought, and his reward.
"Wow, this is where I'll be coming!"
I thought it was a joke.
But yesterday, he redeemed a discount of N6,000...
While smiling from ear to ear.
So, this is it...
Never assume loyalty belongs to you because you already have the longest relationship with a customer.
Loyalty belongs to the business that makes people feel seen, valued, and appreciated.
People don't leave because of price alone. They leave because they feel ignored, taken for granted, and unimportant.
And your competitors are fighting and patiently waiting for the customers you have stopped paying attention to.
The lifeline of your business is your customers.
