There is a bit of cobwebs and dust to brush away, but rest assured that swords are being sharpened and bows being strung! #heroesguard#indiedev#gamebook
There is only one instance where you see "your hands" in #heroesguard. I'll never forget the little girl who once said said "that's not what my hands look like". Hoping the next big re-release brings inclusion for all! #indiedev
Occasionally I play #heroesguard with my 7-year old, its #gamebook nature makes it a perfect bed time story. Tonight he read it to me instead for the first time. I felt like I reached a new level in parenthood. Takes #motivation for #indiedev to a new level!
@EmberShadow2 Reviving a #gamebook I launched ~7 years ago! Focus on making reading fun, with a dash of #deckbuilder used for combat scenes, titled “Heroes Guard: The Journal”
@ManFila_XP The real catalyst is that my 7 year old has started to read is having fun reading/playing the game - he’s my current muse. Plus it’s a 2-for-1 as I can’t it as his bedtime reading on occasion!😊
Weird to see two games I worked on - Jamestown+ and Good Job (even if I didn't have a hand in bringing J+ to the swtich) on this list one after another: https://t.co/7MPVHgy1KK
@tinytouchtales Hah I haven’t. Like... should one test with the actual localization early - or just have the system/place-holder is generally good enough? I’ve heard there are a few “gotchas” like German words tend to be like 50% longer.
You can master but one elemental magic: Nature, Fire, Ice, or Storm. What are some interesting ways having control over the elements might help you outside of combat? #heroesguard#indiedev
