Three relatively-wealthy Croatians from late 17th Ottoman-controlled Sarajevo liquidated all of their assets and purchased the Garden of Gethsemane from Turks and handed it over to the local Franciscans to keep it in safe Christian hands.
@bryan_johnson@bryan_johnson real question, do you think the benefits of sauna are 100% thanks to the heat or 100% bc you iced the jewelries? Can you please do a test where you just use the ice and no sauna?
every PM who thinks their manager ignores them should watch this Wes Kao talk (30 mins)
she said the quiet part out loud about managing up
This is the framework your manager uses on THEIR manager (and never taught you)
I distilled her contrarian frameworks, but watch the whole thing:
One of the tricks I picked up from working at Google is a very simple way to make sure your interface feels on-brand:
Start with the core brand colour.
Let's say it's blue.
You create a palette of blue shades from light to dark, almost white to almost black, all with a blue tint.
The text isn't just pure white.
It's a very light blue.
The background isn't pure black.
It's a very dark blue.
Using these throughout the core elements will create an almost unnoticeable but present brand 'feeling' through the interface.
It works especially well for trading interfaces where the positive/negative colors can easily dominate, making it hard to incorporate your brand without it being jarring.
This technique works perfectly for any product and industry.
@peterrhague the difference between the eastern orthodox priests and catholic ones is that the orthodox ones get married. That's one of the reasons why the orthodox theology is full of "mysteries" haha
@sweatystartup I've been reading and teaching the Bible for many many years, read all the translations available in multiple languages..
The translation that works best for first time readers is NLT-Messiah - Immerse edition.
It reads like a normal book, and it is a very accurate translation
@gatorgar@gatorgar I would strongly suggest reading NLT -> Immersive -> New Testament. Very easy to read, the verses and chapters are removed (chapters and verses were introduced in the 1500's)
Here's a good one: https://t.co/Wus33dTSz2
