Great day out @gothamcc today, narrow defeat by 2 wickets defending 162 but given the weather forecast and overnight rain it was just good to get the game in. Prajul man of the match with 4-16 off 7 overs. Thanks to the hosts for superb hospitality!

Unfortunately both today's fixtures, 1st XI at @AshfordCC1841 1st XI and 2nd XI at home to @Cutthorpe_CC 3rd XI are cancelled due to rain and wet grounds. Hopefully better for Sunday as the Hope Valley Panthers host @UniStaffCC (1.30pm start), but forecast not great! ☀️🤞☔️🏏

Family day/70th anniversary celebration is underway with a softball match - Anston vs Sheffield Super Queens

But more importantly, a week Sunday we have our annual family day, involving men's and women's cricket, a bar and barbecue - and this year's is special because we are celebrating the club's 70th anniversary! See the poster for details:

Tomorrow our 1st XI will be at home against @wickersleyovcc and the 2nds away at Baslow, where I will be continuing my quest to be hit into the River Derwent from as many different cricket grounds as possible
