With the new school year approaching, urgent investment is needed to rehabilitate damaged schools and ensure thousands of children across #Lebanon can return to learning without delay.
Schools must be protected at all times. They are places of learning, safety, and hope - not places of fear or violence.
Every classroom restored is a step towards hope and a brighter future.
Education cannot wait. Childhood can't be put on hold.

Children are paying the price for the escalating conflict in the Middle East, including children far beyond the region.
Rising costs are making food and education unaffordable for many families. The world must do more to protect children from the impact. https://t.co/WFDRX6NLA9
UNICEF, in partnership with @mophleb and @AUB_Lebanon, supported hands-on neonatal resuscitation training for national trainers and certifiers through the HAYAT Comprehensive Newborn Care Programme, equipping them with the skills to train healthcare professionals across the country and help ensure high-quality, lifesaving care for every newborn from their very first moments.

Every skill learned is a step toward a stronger future.
This #WorldYouthSkillsDay, UNICEF celebrates young people across #Lebanon who continue to learn, innovate, and pursue their aspirations with determination, despite the challenges they face.
When young people are equipped with the right skills, they don't just build better futures for themselves. They strengthen families, communities, and the nation.
Together with our donors and partners, we remain committed to expanding opportunities for learning, skills development, employment, and entrepreneurship.
Thanks to our donors, @GermanEmbBeirut 🇩🇪 through @KfW_FZ_int and the Netherlands 🇳🇱 through @NLinLebanon, for investing in Lebanon's youth. 💙

When girls are supported, they can shape their own futures.
Together with the Embassy of Sweden and @UNFPALebanon, we visited a Primary Healthcare Centre and a Social Development Centre in Tripoli to see how Mustaqbali Khayari, the first joint UNICEF and UNFPA programme in #Lebanon, is helping adolescent girls build brighter futures.
Funded by Sweden, the programme brings together life skills, supportive services, and positive parenting to help girls grow with confidence, stay safe, and make informed choices about their lives, free from violence.
Across #Lebanon, young women and men are choosing to keep learning, building their future and pursuing their dreams despite the challenges they face.
Through advanced training under UNICEF's Learning to Earning programme, and in collaboration with universities and the private sector, we're helping them gain specialized, market-relevant skills and develop networks that open doors to employment, entrepreneurship and new possibilities.
Because when young people thrive, our communities grow stronger.
Made possible with the generous support of the @GermanEmbBeirut through @KfW_FZ_int.

Our latest policy note, “Repeated Exposures: Childhood and War in Lebanon”, unpacks the psychosocial toll and the intergenerational harm of prolonged exposure to wars and conflicts for children in Lebanon, and explores what shock-responsive social protection needs to look like now.
This note is based on a roundtable discussion organised on 20 May 2026, the first session of the series “Social Policy in Lebanon Between Welfare and Warfare: Civil Society and Expert Engagement and Exchange Towards Social Justice in Lebanon”, organised in partnership with @UNICEFLebanon.

Conflict and displacement disrupted learning for thousands of children across #Lebanon, leaving many worried about falling behind and losing the progress they had worked so hard to achieve.
Returning to school means more than resuming lessons. It means reconnecting with friends and teachers, rebuilding routines, and regaining a sense of stability and normalcy.
UNICEF, in partnership with @MeheLebanon and with the generous support of donors and partners, is helping children return to learning and reclaim the everyday moments of childhood.
