Got to think about it, out of the 21 exotic weapons that didn’t return to D2 these are the only 2 without some type of remake/successor. Dark Drinker became Vortex Frames, Zhalo to Riskrunner, Zen Meteor to Still Hunt, Plan C is just a perk, etc. these two have no representation.

I don’t think the devs were ever fully ready to go 3D. You compare XY and ORAS to the BW games and it does feel like something really important is missing until Sun and Moon.

Not to mention B2W2 came out in 2012 and has about 250 hours of story content, they really did not want to let go of the 2D games 😭
