She’s three, in a tent, with a bowl and a spoon,
pink apron, bright grin, chasing dreams of cartoon.
Cracks eggs like a pro, swirls juice from a can,
bakes cake out of hope in a war-torn land. Little Leen wants to play, laugh, and run,
just a normal kid chasing normal fun.
But bombs sing their lullabies under the moon,
while the world hums along to a different tune. They like, they scroll, they coo “so sweet!”
then close the app and go to sleep.
They share her smile, they praise her “strong,”
but turn the volume down on every wrong. She’s not your lesson, not your tear,
not a hashtag you drop once a year.
She’s a child who wants dolls and slides and swings,
not applause for surviving terrible things. Leen bakes her cake, sings her song,
prays the night won’t last too long.
Share this far, let it ring:
a little girl just wants to be three. Tag a friend, repost, make it trend,
tell the world this has to end.
Let her play, let her grow, let her be free—
Leen deserves a tomorrow, just like you and me.
