“Banning or over-regulating Direct to Consumer Advertising keeps patients in the dark, limits medical options, and shields large companies from competition. DTCA empowers patients to be involved in their own care, facilitates important conversations with medical professionals, drives treatment uptake, and helps ensure competitive pricing.”

In America’s courtrooms, “science” can carry the weight of truth, even when the evidence is deeply flawed. This powerful piece, co-authored by Unify’s Executive Vice President @PatrickPurtill, examines how junk forensic science contributes to wrongful convictions, shattered lives, and undermines faith in the criminal justice system. From debunked techniques to systemic failures, the article exposes the dangerous consequences of treating unreliable evidence as fact, and why state reform is urgently needed.

New polling shows people are tired of watching money get burned on unnecessary federal supervision. Every wasted dollar is a dollar NOT protecting communities from real crime. The #SaferSupervisionAct stops the waste and refocuses resources. via @FabrizioWard poll: https://t.co/YI24oNdd42

“Passing the Second Chance Reauthorization Act makes practical sense; it also embodies justice. What greater justice can we offer to crime victims than for the people responsible to not only be held accountable, but also be transformed, so that no one else endures the same pain?"

You wouldn't know it because it doesn't fit the conventional narrative, but last week, the Senate passed the bipartisan Second Chance Reauthorization Act, which would continue recidivism-reduction and reentry services nationwide. It was sponsored by Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV).
Over 95% of the prison population will eventually be released, with more than 400,000 individuals released each year. This Act provides resources to ensure that the millions of people returning from prison each year continue to receive evidence-based reentry services.

My friend @Adamgelb, head of the @CouncilonCJ has this piece up about how corrections programs use incentives to reduce recidivism and improve community safety. It's the best explanation I have seen and worth two minutes of your time. @UnifyUSOfficial@RightOnCrime@Frusso15 https://t.co/ocmMXaTovp
