Graham Platner to Chuck Schumer: “You need to stop having a problem with the illegal wars we have been starting simply because of the paperwork that wasn’t done properly. You should be against them because they are fundamentally immoral, unethical, and illegal. We should have absolutely no discussion about funding them. Wars that are killing people for the benefit of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, those wars should not be waged, period”
Hello. I'm a white male Democrat running for an unspecified federal office.
You may not have noticed, but I'm Christian and a veteran. I think that the real division in our country isn't left versus right, but top versus bottom. And the key issue I'm running on? Affordability.
"Hate Trump, love war on Iran" gotta be an ideological combo held by no more than 1% of the general population and yet it's like 90% of liberal pundits and at least half of liberal politicians
@ChaseMadar Both things are true to an extent
Should accept Trump is not genuinely “anti war” while not pretending elite Dems are either.
It’s why either sincere progressives need to take over the Democratic Party (been tried, has failed repeatedly) or vote Green.
Rarely watch tv news, but flipping back and forth between FoxNews and BBC News shows real range. One is shameless pro-war propaganda for dummies, the other is shameless pro-war propaganda for college grads. Like I said, real range in our famously free media.
@kenklippenstein I remember when the progressive caucus was about to release a letter opposing the extreme sanctions on Russia but backed down because wanting to destroy that country is wildly popular among liberals
@NobelPrize Machado was pro war against the Venezuelan people yet you gave her a peace prize. The prize has been worthless for years but you put the final nail in your coffin by conferring it upon her. You exposed yourselves and hastened the end of what was once a prestigious designation.
The huge death tolls in Iran being splashed all over the media are sourced to an outfit in Fairfax, VA called "Human Rights Activists in Iran" that is overwhelmingly funded by the US government. What is their methodology? Is it credible? Who cares? Just pump the big numbers out
Not saying anything new, but it's insane to me that the US can make up lies, admit they're lies, kidnap the leader of a sovereign country, force him to go thru a show trial based on those lies, and everyone including the press treats it as some kind of legitimate process.
It’s wild how European leaders are wringing their hands about a US invasion of Greenland being a violation of international law when just the other day they stood aside or even cheered as the US invaded Venezuela in violation of international law.
