On Sunday, 26th March at 1 am we are moving to British Summer Time (BST). The clocks move forward an hour, and we will remain under BST until October, when we return to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
This week Tony Woodhouse, one of the finest trade unionists I have ever met retires as the @unitetheunion EC Chair. Enjoyed working with Tony as Unite AGS, especially at the @The_TUC, @UKLabour, with the @steelworkers USW and @workersuniting. Enjoy your retirement Tony.
Fantastic contribution from @LaszloMarothy on how Aviation workers need their Employers to help keep them safe on the way to & from work. @Unite_NorthWest “Get Me Home Safely” Campaign Launch - Manchester.
We at FRUnite have to announce the untimely death of our friend & colleague, Jenny. Jenny was taken too soon at just 35, she was funny & beautiful, she never had a bad word against anyone. Our thoughts are with her husband Dave & their 3 young daughters.

On behalf of FRUnite, Nick, Laszlo, Maria & Mike we would like to take this opportunity to thank u all for ur support & help throughout the year, after all #UnitedWeStand. We would like to wish all our members, supporters & a very Merry Christmas and a Peaceful and Happy New Year
As both Ryanair and Unite’s head offices are closed for Christmas, your rep’s will be taking a few days off so that they too can enjoy Christmas with their friends and loved ones. However don’t worry they will still be monitoring their emails for any urgent issues that arise.
Just one reason why Hale Road at the junction to @LPL_Airport is unsafe. No safe crossing for pedestrians and the muddy island is all frozen, one can easily slip under a car while waiting to cross. A prime example for our meeting with @MayorLpool

“Make no mistake, we are now involved in a fight to save our #NHS. Lives lost, experience lost, staff exhausted, the NHS is on its knees. Stephen Barclay says a decent pay rise is unaffordable - wake up Mr Barclay we can't afford not to.” @UniteSharon
It was only the first step in our campaign to Make Hale Road Safe. @unitetheunion will keep pushing until @lpoolcouncil and @MayorLpool
listens and @LPL_Airport
drops the pick up and charges for airport workers at Express Drop Off! https://t.co/RvWgppH5Ej

What an absolutely disgusting group of people running our country. We need a General Election now. If you agree with me and have a Tory MP, you could contact them and demand an Election. This cannot go on.
We join the nation in mourning the loss of Queen Elizabeth II. Our sincere condolences to the people of Great Britain and the Royal Family during their time of grief. #RestInPeaceQueenElizabethII#QueenElizabeth
Her friends have started a fundraiser to help her family with the costs of what lies ahead of them. If you can afford, please chip in.

We are shocked and beyond sad that we have to share the news of the tragic passing of our friend and former Equalities Rep, Cinzia Ceravolo. She was involved in a tragic RTC Monday night near Liverpool Airport, as she was going home from work.
Cinzia was not only an exceptional rep and cabin crew, but the kindest soul, a beautiful human being and a devoted Doctor Who fan. It is hard to write a long eulogy, and she wouldn't want that either. All we can say is that she was fantastic! She is fantastic!
