.@unitetheunion's report makes clear that many firms in Britain are doing better now than before Covid. It shows that it is their profits, not increased wages, that are helping to drive ‘second round’ inflation.
Our @unitetheunion members at TATA Steel UK have rejected the latest pay offer from the company and will continue to fight for a fair wage.
They deserve much better than what has been offered and have our full support during these difficult times.
"We will support our members. @unitetheunion will be there for them every step of the way."
Our Regional Secretary, @PeteHughesUnite, speaking in support of our members at TATA Steel as they continue to fight for a fair wage.
We’re trying to find out when the last company director or Tory politician took a pay cut or had their pension slashed or received a detriment to their terms & conditions?

When P&O broke the law this Government gave them a slap on the wrist. When trade unions defend pay and jobs they change the law and stoke division
It’s clear this gov is on the side of bad bosses.
@unitetheunion is well prepared for all eventualities.

Unite's 'profiteering report' has uncovered the corporations who have profited from the crisis. It’s not workers who are pushing up inflation; it’s often their employers.
Workers should not be the ones who pay for it!

Our members at TATA Steel have our full support as they continue to fight for a fair pay deal.
We need to secure a sustainable future for the UK steel industry, but our members deserve better than what has been offered.
@unitetheunion will stand by you all the way.
Unions striking is the last option but the only way that members can protect or improve working conditions. The right to strike must be protected at all costs. If the Tories had there way kids would still be up chimneys!#Solidarity@RMTunion@UniteWales@unitetheunion
You will not be cajoled or pressured by anybody else. No other organisation speaks for our members.
Your union stands with you every step of the way.

From Port Talbot to Corby, and from Trostre to Shotton and Lisburn; you are fighting to secure a fair deal for your members in every Tata site and a future for your industry.
Your stand is sending an important message across the steel industry.

The General Secretary and the Executive Council of @unitetheunion give their full solidarity to all Unite shop stewards and reps across Tata Steel.

This improved offer, which has been described as the best and final offer from Tata Steel UK, has only been achieved through the hard work of our reps and members supporting the unions position to reject the lower offer.

The proposed new offer is:
• 7.0% increase to base pay backdated to 1st April 2022
• 0.5% increase to base pay effective from 1st October 2022.
The current ballot is now void. We will be making arrangements over the coming days to issue new ballots on the improved offer.

🚨 TATA STEEL UPDATE 🚨
Following considerable backlash from our members, the strength of feeling displayed at mass meetings held and a belief that the latest offer was going to be overwhelmingly rejected...
Tata Steel UK have presented a revised and improved offer.

We welcome today's news that a deal has been reached between the UK & US governments on the partial lifting of tariffs on British steel destined for the American market.
More must be done to secure a stable & sustainable future for the UK Steel Industry.
