Last season, Manchester United spent over Β£ 200m on strikers recruitment without a glance at the midfield. They signed 70m plus players, signaling their intention to spend big.
Now that the midfield priority is justifiably in front burner, why the sudden change in strategy?
Priority target are now seen as unreachable once their price touch 70m and 80m mark.
Let's do a quick breakdown of expenditures that could land the priority target and put the midfield budget at 210m:
Mateus Fernandes - 85m
Alex Scot- 80m,
Any of Manu Kone, Ederson, Santos- 45m.
That's a total of Β£210m
Can anyone argue that 3 midfielder in one season isn't enough.
INEOS current approach to the window can only be justified if the club has totally relinquished it's ambition.
Arsenal use to be 10 years behind us. They now suddenly look 10 years ahead, with spending that is purely an authorittatuve market assertion. What a shame?

@JSWC1995@samuelluckhurst Is there anything about this failing club that you haven't supported in thw last 13 years. Look hard at yourself and see who is a retard. When you lack anything required to make simple critique, everything will do
If it's about being a selling club in context, no top club is. Manchester United has never been a selling club . It doesn't mean they are ready to lose players with nothing to gain in return. When Madrid came for Ronaldo, we reviewed 90m.
The approach of recent United board is a gross mismanagement. They sign players for big money loss them without any return. It's not an ideal situation. Every club can buy and sell. People use the word selling club , not as a policy but a status.
Manchester United fans are dumb to support thus INEOS project.

How old was Casemiro, Carvajal, Toni Kross, Ronaldo and all the successful generations when Madrid signed them. They replaced most of these players with fresh young blood. Bellingham was signed at 20, Vinicius Junior at younger age, Rodrigo as a teenage. Madrid has been known to throw money around acquire fully fledged players, yet they seem more prudent. They gave us Varane and replaced him they gave us Casemiro too. Who has imbued us with the mentality. You all reason as if the club has no history.

All of you are delusional.
29 years old Youri Teilemans for Β£41m. What happened to the under 25 policy?
Anyone defending this misplaced spending is delusional. The level of inexperience on twitter is bewildering.
Teilemans will turn 30 soon. Can anyone guarantee his consistent top performance after 31? This is another signing that will leave on free transfer..How the penny pitchy INEOS continue to spend imprudently is deeply concerning. This is a total contradiction to what they profess.

How fans have adjusted to a low standard. 3rd place is now the height of achievements. Casemiro playing a Old Trafford for 4 years and have only a 3rd place finished as the accomplishment of his time. Many of these players use Manchester United to fund their retirement. We were paying 350k weekly only to finish 3rd once.
I've canvassed opinion from Arsenal fans and supporter of few other clubs about Manchester United signing of Youri Tielemans and the abandonment of Mateus Fernandes. Sincerely, they are having a laugh.
There were days in the past when fans of other club couldn't hide their envy about how we operate during the transfer window, now they seem pretty comfortable.

@dfieldzz@AliceTalksFooty They haven't put a step wrong? Ugarte, Onana and hiring Amorin. You shouldn't forget United finished 15th a year ago and following similar path again until Carrick came on board. United was just lucky to be in UCL.
π¨π£οΈ@David_Ornstein: βManchester United will have a clear vision of what they want [in an additional midfield signing].
βI Imagine looking at the profile of what they got now, which is Kobbie, [Andrey Santos and Youri [Tieleman].
βThey will want somebody with LEGS who can really COVER GROUND and provide a bit of complementary qualities to what those players bring to the party, which is ball-playing and control.
βThey need someone that can run and they will be well aware of that. So it will be fascinating to see which direction they go inβ.

@dfeare07 The club moved away from a young talent in the realm of Rooney became of money, but now spending a total of what could end up wasteful Tielemans 29 could turn 30 and have a downturn. Yes experience is good but it shouldn't be at the expense of team building
29 years old Youri Teilemans for Β£41m but the club and the PR fans saying 85m for a versatile 21 years old is excessive. Is this the kind of rebuilt that ensure future dominance?
The player will turn 30 any moment from now. He is also definitely leaving on a free transfer. However defend the management at this stage is an enemy of the club .
I had a exchange with a guy when United was signing Varane. He said I should be locked up for opposing it. Where is Varane today. Arsenal signed Saliba fee years earlier, he is still playing at the top. People like you can't update their though process, only flowing with the wave. That's why your thinking is messed up just as the club is messy.
People lik you say the same during the whole wasteful years when we signed Cavani, Varane, Eriksen. Where are this players. You are just a delusional twat. Fernandes is 21, just like Rice 5 years ago when he was heavily linked with us. People like you kicked against the move then.
