Throughout the summer I have prayerfully gone back and forth between baseball and football. After an awesome conversation last night with my parents, Coach Penner (@coach_penner ), and Coach McCormick (@BMcCormick08), and after spending time with them and the other great coaches, I have made the decision to continue pursuing Christ at Dordt University, where I will also be playing football as a part of the Dordt Defender brotherhood. Dordt is an amazing place, and I am super excited to be surrounded by fellow brothers in Christ. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for my future! I want to thank all of the football staff at Dordt for all that you have done, and please know that I couldn’t be more grateful. I also want to thank Coach Nyhus (@CoachNyhus) for this connection as I don’t know if I would have had this opportunity if God would not have put you in my life. I want to thank my Family for always being so supportive every step of the way, especially my Mama and Papa for always encouraging me to follow Christ in all that I do. Most of all, I want to thank God for this opportunity that I have been given. Without God in my life, none of this would have been possible. We can all trust and know that God has a plan, and that our hope is found in Christ alone.

It is tough to express in words how grateful I am for the opportunity to spend time with @coach_penner @BMcCormick08 @AO1CoachKenney and the coaching staff from @DordtFB ! To receive an offer to play football in a program that understands that football is more than just football, desires to bring glory to God, and to win others to Christ is a blessing beyond my own understanding. Thank you Jesus for this amazing opportunity!

Our 2023 football season will be dedicated to the memory of Cody Ince. Although he was a phenomenal football player, the character, values and how he treated other people are great lessons for our athletes and we’ll use those lessons to continue developing fine young men! #RISE
