@Princymthombeni Can it be mentioned who gave legal advice not to change the pre amble and who supported that? I suspect some outside forces acting here.
Unemployment is only one issue regarding illegal foreigners.
There are many other related issues:
1. The first is that it is a crime to be illegally n the country.
2. Overcrowding in many areas, especially built up areas. This includes informal settlements, and hijacked buildings. This has caused deterioration of many areas.
3. Point 2 impacts on services (water, electricity ad housing).
4. Illegal street trading.
5. Illegal businesses.
6. Overwhelming the public health services.
7. Impact on the country's budget. (education, services, etc).
8. Impact on crime, as illegal foreigners are undetected inside the country.
9. 22 000 foreign prisoners in jails - cost is around R4bn a year.
With regards to unemployment:
1. Poor government policies.
2. Low number of foreign start ups in South Africa.
3. Ease of doing business in South Africa (too complex)
4. Poor education system.
5. High crime rate.
6. Lack of cheap public transport.
7. Lack of rail logistics system.
8. Poor leadership.
9. Poorly written Constitution.
10. Too high taxes. Also too complex.
11. Rigid exchange controls. (SARB)
Built on grit. Driven by passion. Crowned champions. ๐
The @WomenBoks dug deep in Nairobi, showing heart and composure to beat Kenya 35โ20 and lift Rugby Africa Womenโs Cup title No. 5
Thatโs the power of resilience under pressure.
1. Water.
2. Electricity.
3. Roads- potholes, streetlights, road markings, street signs, etc.
4. Bylaw enforcement.
5. Incorrect billing.
6. Illegally built informal settlements
7. Parks that need clean up
8. Overcrowding
9. Poor quality of repairs by City Power, Jhb water, etc.
10. Deterioration of suburbs
Even if the DA takes over, how can they get rid of incompetent and useless Senior Management in most entities?
What should have been better was if the terms of all Senior Managers and Execs in these entities (eg. City Power, Jhb Water, etc) coincided with the elections.
There are a lot of political appointments in these entities and they need to go if a new administration comes into effect otherwise it will just be the same old nonsense from these entities.
I would think that the UN needs to first investigate and determine from which countries the migrants and asylum seekers are coming from.
Then they need to ask the questions as to why those migrants and asylum seekers are leaving their own countries.
And lastly, they need to also take into account the budgets and resources of the receiving country.
Nothing is for free in today's world.
Someone has to pay.
Who will pay to look after millions of refugees and migrants?
Does Home Affairs have a system to track foreign visitors in South Africa?
I think this is where one of the main problem starts.
A foreign visitor comes in with a visitor status.
Then simply defaults and overstays the 30 or 90 day (annual) duration.
How does Home Affairs then know if a foreigner has defaulted?
The main issue is around ILLEGAL foreigners.
Even the Government of South Africa has no idea on the number of illegal foreigners in the country.
Estimates range from 2m right up till 25m.
No one knows the correct number.
The ANC Government (when they ruled) has for decades ignored the issue around illegal foreigners and it has grown into a massive problem that is now manifesting in protests and conflict.
Someone, be it the South African Government, or foreign Governments, will have to find a lasting solution before things get totally out of hand.
South Africa already has an extremely high crime rate, and the country cannot afford more violence and conflict.
Illegal foreigners are the problem.
Foreigners who enter the country unlawfully.
Foreigners who buy their ID's and passports from corrupt agents and corrupt Home Affairs employees.
Foreigners who bribe officials.
Foreigners who overstay their visitor visa's.
Foreigners who open and run businesses without following the lawful process of immigration, investment and labour laws.
Foreigners who try and claim asylum even though they know their countries are not at war or they do not qualify.
The ANC created a lawless state and illegal foreigners is just one of the issues when it comes to breaking the law.
But its impact has been massive on South Africa and society in general.
Give a practical example of how land can be returned.
The problem we sit with is that the negotiations that took place in 1992-1994 were not in line and in keeping with proper redress.
And its now even more complex.
How do you see land and mineral wealth benefiting South Africans on the ground? What model can be used that will ensure that people benefit and not politicians and outsiders, but at the same ensuring employment and growth of the economy.
@thee_alfa_house Keep away from the Americans in terms of any type of loans or aid. Once you in, they will force you to abide by their rules.
African countries need to follow an "Africa First" agenda.
Why do residents pay taxes? Is the CoJ not responsible to ensure law & order, especially around bylaws? They also work hand in hand with SAPS on these type of issues.
We cannot continue to accept lawlessness.
The CoJ and SAPS must enforce bylaws and laws.
It's not up to residents to enforce law & order.
Thats what the authorities & government get paid to do.
@VehicleTracker8 The Government should seriously look at getting trucks off the road during the day.
Trucks should only be allowed to travel on these roads late in the evenings.
How many more of these truck accidents must we see before Government takes action?
