This is a long, fruitless Pharisee tradition that I’m thankful to no longer be a part of.

If we are in the world, but not of it, our contribution to this system should be as little as possible.

@UniverseBE @w_bitterman Revelation 18 describes 'Babylon'—a system built on greed, exploitation, and the literal human trafficking of souls. Equating regular Christians who own a home, provide for their families, and quietly give to the poor with the corrupt engine of Babylon is a massive overreach.

Why should the world believe in Jesus if the people nagging them about Jesus don’t?

If you really believe you have died to the world, if you really are living for the kingdom, there is no better way to prove it than renouncing power and wealth.
