when u play with someone who actually grinds the game and every game they're like "oh fuck they have blorbo on their team, he used to onetrick ball from 2021-23, he is a fucking inter, i have met this guy's children"
@RedstoneRuler2 there is enough context clues for a lot of the game through exploration and item text that most players can stumble their way through
the guide is there as a safety net in case someone just doesn't find something while exploring a new area or misses something
@RedstoneRuler2 not every game needs to hold your hand and if games do that is also fine; there is a charm of mystery of what to do next; its a self inflicted wound for people that need youtube guides for every little detail and have little room of letting themselves learn on own
@RedstoneRuler2 ive had countless people that I've told to "don't worry about the wiki, just play and explore to find things; talk to the guide of you need true direction"
and they were able to figure it out fine and enjoyed the game knowing they didn't need the wiki opened in the 2nd tab
@Greenpig117@froggerupdates he was using the steamcharts in that vid to show the trends, even saying it was overall growing at least on steam, and that the classic event seems to not had a significant impact on Steamchart player counts (while most people on bnet, you'd think steamcharts would be up as well)
