@Tidus514@Genki_JPN You don't need the loyalty of the hardcore fans through good times. Sony didn't learn from PS3 times. Sure they might have enough fans on paper to carry their PS6 era. Sure they might calculate that Xbox is already dead. I'm sure Nintendo though they were ruling in 1994.
@NotiPlay_ This fucking arrogance alone makes me want to make sure PS5 is the last PS I buy, after 30 years of supporting the brand. Even XBox sounds better now.
@ChristinaTasty Why do you even bother to repost that guy? I trust my dogs opinion on this matter more. Or politics. Or anything. Let him sink into the irrelevance from whence he came.
@EsojiSotnass@PlayStation Give up? I have hundreds of discs from PS1 through PS5 and there will be time to get some more, why would I give up something I already own?
All-digital PS6 I'm willing to give up yes unless they solve the ownership issue.
@PlayStation You could still turn this around: distinguish current digital games as rentals with cheaper price, sell true perpetual ownership (id'd by disc/key card whatever) at a premium. Everyone wins, those who want ownership pay for it and you still capture the current resale market.
@HlNOMARUSUMO now they happily pay the same amount to rent the game for undefined period, revocable at any moment. You can literally pay thousands for your library and Sony has legal right to vaporize it at any point and thats supposed to be ok?
Discs can go, what we need is digital ownership.
@HlNOMARUSUMO It's not really about physical vs. digital games. It's about the rules around ownership. Discs going away might be as inevitable as NES carts going away was. But most consumers are too stupid to realize when they paid 80 bucks for a disc, they actually owned the thing. Whereas
@sleepmonkie@nib95_ They didn't make this decision because it's what the consumer wants, that's the excuse. They made this decision because it will give them full control over pricing, availability and sales channels which allows them to make shitton more money at least on the short term.
@ChaosSignals@P_Kallioniemi With how it's going in the US, I would argue it's the most successful thing the Russians have ever done in history, unfortunately..
@ClockDying@EdKrassen Maybe your president shouldn't lick Putin's ass then if Putin is actively helping to kill Americans? Oh right, he doesn't give a shit about American soldiers or their lives.
@LegionisDev@Dave98x@iGasLightOldPpl@Smasher225@pogo_central Also, since Gimmighoul/Gholdengo is super limited shiny on the Switch side, it would unfortunately make sense PoGo would be forced to release this as a costume version with the most minutest of change to prevent it from devaluing the rare shiny Gholdengo on Switch right now.
@LegionisDev@Dave98x@iGasLightOldPpl@Smasher225@pogo_central This one has a costume (small number 9 on it's coin.. yeah, tiny change on the tiniest pokemon...), it can't be sent to Home or evolved.
The only question really here is if the regular one has it's shiny available now. Unfortunately, there has been no evidence of that yet.
@collinwood_j@damintoell@bennyjohnson He wasn't demanding, he was just offering Benny a chance to prove he's not a complete hypocrite. Which he failed of course.
