@PlayStation You could still turn this around: distinguish current digital games as rentals with cheaper price, sell true perpetual ownership (id'd by disc/key card whatever) at a premium. Everyone wins, those who want ownership pay for it and you still capture the current resale market.

Discs can go, what we need is digital ownership.

The only question really here is if the regular one has it's shiny available now. Unfortunately, there has been no evidence of that yet.
