Phrase better - True. The infighting within the Tamil Nadu BJP and the reluctance of some leaders to accept Annamalai’s talent appear to stem from a fear of losing their own importance.
For years, the political existence of the TN BJP unit was limited to contesting elections only to lose, or winning a few Assembly seats through alliances with the DMK or AIADMK. Many of these leaders never showed much competence beyond that.
But Annamalai changed the mindset of the party workers. He showed them that the BJP has the potential to grow independently and expand far beyond its old limitations. However, a section of leaders resisted him, fought against his rise, and caused setbacks in the 2024 general elections.
I believe Modi ji and Shah ji may have allowed things to play out naturally so that these leaders learn the necessary lesson. This phase of the Tamil Nadu BJP will eventually be resolved, and the unit will emerge stronger, just like the BJP units in Delhi and Bihar did in the past.

West Bengal Chief Secretary has issued an order to all department secretaries and heads of offices to ensure that no important papers or files are removed, damaged, or taken out of government offices.

The order comes amid the CRPF has taken over the Secretariat office buildings and assumed security control of files and systems.
