@Gbemiga__A Some of you need to just watch football and keep your opinion quiet.
Araujo is a CB who is doing a decent job for us as a right back but you also want him scoring bangers 😭😭😭
I have to give Iraola his flowers for the substitutions he made today. 👏🔴
Taking Araujo off at half-time with Brentford down to 10 men made sense. Frimpong came on, but unfortunately, he got injured just five minutes into the second half.
What I liked was how Iraola handled the situation. With Jacquet on a yellow card and several other players booked, he had to be careful with his defensive options. Keeping Gomez available was a smart decision because we could have found ourselves in a difficult situation if another defender had to come off.
Instead of rushing Gomez onto the pitch immediately, he pushed Vítor Muñoz to right-back and brought Rio Ngumoha onto the right wing. And since we were already playing against 10 men, that adjustment made sense.
Then, after we were ahead, he brought Muñoz off and introduced Gomez to give us more defensive stability.
These are the kind of in-game decisions I want to see from our coach. He adapted to the situation, used the players available to him and made the right adjustments when we needed them.
Credit where it's due, Iraola. 👏❤️
You are winning why are you allowing a player to bait you into moving your body know how good players act movies these days
Just allowed this referee to spoil this match
The opposite wad what Tinubu did in a poor Nigeria.
Nigha entered and bought himself a plane, yacht, approved 21b for his VP.
Then @TeeBabadey4U and Co defended it.
@iamkennifizzle Sounds like he's talking about APC when they were trying to get PDP out of power. They were hateful! And he's right; we were better in the PDP.
Peter Obi doesn't sound bitter!
@HarmlessHQ The driver is still wrong. It should be company policy that he can't take money from the passengers. This doesn't happen with official bus companies!
He should have discussed the issue of the route with the company!
STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE
President Tinubu nominates 4 new INEC national commissioners and 2 Resident Electoral Commissioners
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated four new national commissioners and two new resident electoral commissioners to fill vacancies at the Independent National Electoral Commission created by expiring tenures.
The Senate will scrutinise all the nominees.
However, the President reappointed Dr Bala Bila, the national commissioner representing the North East.
The new national commissioners are Professor Mustapha Aliu, who will replace Professor Abdullahi Zuru as the North West representative; and Bashir Muhammed Umar, who will replace Professor Muhammad Adamu as the North Central representative.
President Tinubu recommended Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola, the resident electoral commissioner in Osun, as the new South West national commissioner. She will replace Professor Cornelius Ajayi, whose tenure expires on October 24.
The two new resident electoral commissioners are retired permanent secretary Dr Samuel Akinjide Akinleye, to represent Ekiti State, and Zahradden Basiru Sanusi, from Jigawa, who will replace Professor Saidu Ahmed Babura.
President Tinubu urged the Senate to expedite the nominees' confirmation in view of the forthcoming General elections next January.

Yesterday, I played host to Tunde Onakoya, the Nigerian chess master, coach, and founder of the non-profit organization CHESS IN SLUMS AFRICA. He holds the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous chess marathon, playing for hours in Times Square, New York.
Mr. Onakoya payed me a courtesy call and presented to me an original Chess Board with green and white pieces, symbolising the colours of Nigeria. We also settled to a game of chess.
Through the CHESS IN SLUMS AFRICA, he is able to teach chess to children in underprivileged communities. The project gives kids an intellectual identity, helps them get off the streets, and secures academic scholarships. I assured him of support for his cause.
@Mindset_Spaces Holding INEC accountable before during and after elections is important. INEC must do things better.
Everyone must have an access to the voting register of their unit.
Disenfranchising people on the day will be a major issue.
The next stage is counting casted votes.
Beam your lights on INEC. Make sure they display this register.
Make sure you confirm where you're voting before election day!
Disenfranchisement is one of the major ways they'll rig this election and you all are aware of the INEC we have!
ARISE NEWS RESPONSE TO INEC LAGOS STATEMENT
Arise News has received a press statement from INEC Lagos State categorically denying our report aired this morning on What's Trending and stating that the display of the Register of Voters was conducted across all two hundred and forty-five registration areas in Lagos State including Alimosho and Shomolu. We take note of INEC's response and we respect the commission's right to provide its own account.
However, Arise News stands by its report. Our findings were based on independent on-ground verification not social media posts or unverified claims.
At the time of our confirmation on Tuesday, the INEC portal displayed a message stating there are currently no preliminary registers to display.
In the Alimosho area, our investigation revealed the register was strictly available on request between 9AM and 3PM and residents were only allowed to check for their own names which falls short of the open public display required under Section 19 of the Electoral Act.
Arise News acknowledges that INEC may have since rectified the situation and we welcome that. But the issues we reported were real and the public deserves to know.
We remain committed to responsible accurate and independent journalism and we call on INEC to ensure that every Nigerian in every ward has full and open access to the voters' register as required by law not access by request, access by right!
Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) Babachair Lawal shed some light on why he believed former President Muhammadu Buhari did not anoint his Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbanjo as his successor in the 2023 general elections. Things dey happen for our country sha!
Take a listen
President Tinubu @officialABAT stands tall as Nigeria's most unifying leader since Obasanjo. For the first time in decades, we are seeing a country free from the usual regional unrest and political "higi-haga" at the state and local levels. His mature handling of the Rivers State crisis is a masterclass in diplomacy that he hasn’t received enough credit for. A pure class act!
