If you are having a bonfire tomorrow please make sure you move your log pile to ensure there are no hedgehogs as every year they are injured or killed by bonfires. Since 2000 we have lost 50% of them, due to road traffic accidents, loss of habitats, plastic pollution and bonfires

Lots of furry visitors to our footprint tunnels like these lovely wood mice https://t.co/FxivxIkVgS but no hogs. But we undertook this surveying late in the season so many individuals may be in hibernation. We will do this again next year so let us know if YOU want to be involved

Footprint tunnel results!
Sadly we have not found any hedgehog prints yet, but we have seen rat, mouse and badger prints. A few more days left to go!

Tonight we hosted a Hedgehog Survey Workshop with a twist!

@SussexUni's @UoS_Hedgehog team learned to recognise hog prints & built print tunnels, all outside in the sunshine (socially distanced of course)!
