@BrandonFugal Thank you for speaking with the students and sharing your passion for scientific discovery 🚀🌕
Powerful connection for the students to learn about the recent satellite your team deployed for data collection. Opening students' minds to what is possible.
The Salt Lake City School District Moon Mission Symposium, made possible by the Salt Lake Education Foundation, brought together students, educators, and community partners to celebrate student work in STEM, storytelling, and space exploration. Over 2,000 students from the SLC School District will be sending their projects to the Moon later this year.
Through Starborn Academy, students studied science and technology, explored career pathways, developed Moon Mission projects, and shared their ideas with judges, guests, and community leaders. Selected students from participating middle schools will represent their schools at @NASAKennedy , where they will watch their projects launch to the Moon aboard @Astrolab_Space's FLEX Lunar Innovation Platform (FLIP) rover as part of the @voyagertech_ Griffin-1 mission.
We are grateful to the partners who helped make this program and event possible: @slcschools, @Team_SLEF, @Astrolab_Space, astronaut @DrSianProctor, @Boeing, and the @slcecondev.
Thank you to @BrandonFugal, astronaut Laura Stiles, and Brendan Hall for speaking with students and helping them connect their classroom learning to real-world exploration, creativity, and opportunity.

Uplift knocked it out of the park (and into space...) at The K🚀⚾️
We loved joining with thousands of students for the @Royals School Day at the K. Joining with @DrSianProctor, we provided immersive VR experiences for hundreds of students and fans to explore what it means to train like an astronaut.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was welcoming students and teachers from North Kansas City Schools, where Uplift's Starborn Academy is currently being implemented across all middle schools. Getting to meet the students and educators participating in the program, hear their excitement, and share special moments with them alongside astronaut Dr. Sian Proctor was unforgettable.
Thank you to the Kansas City Royals, North Kansas City Schools, Dr. Sian Proctor, @SuperclusterHQ and everyone who helped make this day such a powerful celebration of STEM, exploration, and student possibility.
The future is bright, and these students are already reaching for it.

We had the honor of bringing students and teachers from YingHua International School to Cape Canaveral for a few days they will never forget.
1. Watching a @ulalaunch Atlas V launch at night:
As the rocket ignited, night turned into day. The students gasped as light filled the sky and the sound shook the ground around us.
Afterward, we stood together and talked through orbital dynamics, the rocket equation, sustainability, reusability, and where spaceflight is heading next. It was one of those moments where the questions came naturally because the experience had already done the teaching.
2. Touring Blue Origin’s rocket manufacturing facility at Rocket Park:
Led by two incredible members of the @blueorigin team, Debbie Stuckey and Jillian Gloria, representing @clubforfuture, students saw the Blue Moon lunar lander, massive BE-4 engines, and the manufacturing floor where New Glenn is being built.
They also met real people doing the work. STEM jobs became reachable as students asked questions and shook hands with the people building lunar landers and rockets.
The Jim Lovell quote above stands at the entrance of Blue Origin’s building. It was the perfect way to frame the visit.
3. Visiting @nasa's @kennedyspacecenter:
Students stood beneath and beside symbols of human achievement: Saturn V, Space Shuttle Atlantis, and more.
They heard stories of people who pushed into the unknown so humanity could see farther, learn more, and imagine differently.
They walked away proud of what people can accomplish when courage, science, teamwork, and imagination come together.
4. Watching a @spacex Falcon Heavy launch:
In daylight, students watched Falcon Heavy lift off, saw the twin boosters return from space, and heard the unforgettable sound of sonic booms.
Afterward, we talked about sonic booms, geosynchronous orbit, reusable launch systems, and the advances in manufacturing that are changing what humanity can do in space.
That is the power of industry and education working together. We can help students move from “I could never do that” to “Maybe I belong there”.
This experience was enhanced because of YHIS school’s leadership and its focus on a culture of learning and respect. We are excited for the bright future ahead for their students!
Why it matters - New Glenn NG-3 Summary:
"The Earth is finite. There is no plan B. We have to save this planet. Space is the only way to go. If we move out into the solar system, we have unlimited resources.... It is this civilization's job to build that road to space. And then, amazing things will happen."
-@JeffBezos , @blueorigin
It is hard to overstate how extraordinary this moment is.
Within a matter of weeks, Artemis II sent humans back around the Moon for the first time in more than half a century and farther from Earth than any humans have ever traveled. Now Blue Origin has successfully launched NG-3, marking the first reflight of a New Glenn booster. And in just a few weeks, we may see SpaceX launch Starship V3.
NG-3 matters because it was not just another launch. It was a sign that New Glenn is beginning the transition from a powerful rocket into a reusable heavy-lift platform.
With the return of "Never Tell Me The Odds," this became the first time Blue Origin has reflown a New Glenn booster, an important milestone on the path toward lower costs, higher cadence, and more capable access to orbit.
That is how space becomes scalable.
That is how launch vehicles become infrastructure.
Why that matters:
• Lower cost to orbit
• Greater launch availability
• Faster iteration and learning
• More ambitious commercial, scientific, and national security missions
• Stronger long-term support for lunar and deep-space operations
Humanity is entering a new era of spaceflight.
Not someday.
Now.
At @upliftaerospace, we are energized by every milestone that expands access to space and helps build the foundation for humanity’s next chapter. We are excited to be the workforce development arm for the aerospace industry. Providing educational training in K-12 and professional development trainings for the trades.
