@jodiecongirl The counter argument to this thesis is that the open weight models aren’t that much worse than the frontier models. If the frontier providers charge too much, you can just run your own open weight models
@YIMBYLAND I mean, the P38 was in production 1994 to 2002. Considering that to get a historical plate in most places, your car needs to be 25 years old or older, almost all of them count now.
@_neiloy Most of the stores there are "fake outlet stores" to begin with TBH. You know, stores that sell inferior goods "made for outlet" rather than overstock goods from the flagship stores.
@jrysana Double major CS and Criminology. My complaint with UofT is that they are more focused on washing students out than teaching them well. If you look at any profession where there is professional licensing, it's not like UofT does better than others
@BenRabidoux Where? I think in Ontario, only Muskoka/Georgian Bay/6 Mile Lake area is still going strong. Hell, arguably that area is the strongest housing market in the country, especially since they don't restrict AirBNB
@TotemMacro The same way that some nightclubs have long lines outside even if total capacity in your city is half full - there’s shitty nightclubs (or in this case AI models) that nobody wants. Anthropic could very well be experiencing a shortage when X and Meta have 2% usage
@JillFilipovic To be fair, I always wanted to own a vineyard, and a "chateau" in france might be shockingly cheap. Here's a nice property for 795k euro, in Bordeaux. You can buy that and put 100k euro in landscaping and have a great wedding venue.
