The largest #childcare network in America, helping employers transform the future of childcare benefits by connecting families and caregivers nationwide.

A child-care assistance program offered by Park City and Summit County generated an economic impact in its second year that approached $7 million, a study has found.

“For many local families and members of our workforce, the lack of affordable child care is a major driver of economic instability,” Mayor Ryan Dickey said. “This report shows that the council’s commitment is making a meaningful difference for those who need it most.”

New Mexico is launching the nation’s first universal child care program. Our CEO, Jessica Chang, spoke with @parents about what this could mean for families and the economy: https://t.co/XFqqkxdsHf

Congrats to @jessicajchang, co-founder of M13 co @Upwardsdotcom, for being selected to the @EYnews Entrepreneurial Winning Women™ North America Class of 2025!

Upwards is tackling one of the biggest challenges for today’s families—access to affordable, high-quality childcare. In a @parents article about New Mexico’s new universal childcare program, Jessica discusses how access to reliable child care allows parents—especially mothers—to remain in or join the workforce.

“Employers also benefit from improved retention and hiring,” she says. "We know this impact firsthand at Upwards because we operate similar child care subsidy programs in Los Angeles, California, and Park City, Utah. These programs remove cost barriers, handle provider matching, and facilitate the care experience. In practice, they consistently demonstrate a 200% return on investment for local economies, not even accounting for long-term gains in children’s academic and developmental outcomes, overall family wellbeing, and stress reduction.”
