Hmm so you're saying something like: the band itself refuses to send back any sensor data unless it receives an updated public key with an updated expiration time....but.... At that point, you could just reverse engineer the protocol that's delivering the updated certificate to the band. And then supply your own certificate/key

The redteamer in me wonders how the feature could be abused to snoop/stalk/spy on your own contacts though to see when/how often they are on calls.
Presumably (and hopefully) there are rate limits in place to prevent this.
