@Lin_DAO_ you can decide if that’s a good thing or a bad thing — along with every other business that has to do more with human psychology than pure functional results — but that’s why chanel (and their target customer) don’t like counterfeiters
@Lin_DAO_ well, when chanel’s target customer buys chanel often because they want to send the signal that they spent $12K on a bag.
but this other person paying $20 for the same looking bag dilutes that message: now a viewer doesn’t know if you spent $20 or $12K
@lcwhitlock14@devahaz waymo also has the advantage that it knows exactly which car will pick you up before you order, since there’s no driver making a choice about whether to accept the ride or not. (almost, barring race conditions)
@Lilly413657@sentientist you didn’t answer the question. i didn’t ask about sex, the word didn’t even appear in mine.
i asked how/on what basis is a guy supposed to assess the woman during those early months?
@Lilly413657@sentientist i ask because while you’re assessing the guy and withholding any form of investment, he’s also trying to assess you. but if you’re withholding, he can’t see what you would be like as a partner down the line yet when you stop withholding.
i’m curious how FDS views that problem.
@Lilly413657@sentientist just curious, what do you (or they) think is keeping the guy interested during those 3 months?
or put differently, what does FDS say you should be doing to show your interest/value to the guy during that timeframe?
@juliafedorin i will never understand why sf people always feel the need to start a “sf is better than ny” thread every time they visit ny…
how insecure are you about your town that you need to get so much reassurance from all 700k of your neighbors every time you leave your bubble?
@BraddrofliT property tax is less of a tax on unrealized gains and more a municipal tax to pay for local services based on where you live (ie. where you most likely consume services the most)
