@nedglasier My daughters secondary school uniform is a black polo t-shirt, black sweater & black trousers or skirt so pretty practical and they’ve been allowed to wear their PE kits during the really hot weather.
As a Benefits adviser, I hear stuff like this everyday…from people who have needed my support to claim benefits. You’d be very lucky to walk into a Jobcentre and successfully claim any welfare benefit these days
“I've seen people entering the country and straight into the benefits office...”
You haven't, mate.
What you've done is heard some other pub bore say those words and in your mind you've imagined it and started nodding.
That's not the same as reality.
@PregnantScrewed This is hilarious! I’m much worse in the office than at home when it comes to staying at my desk & being healthy. When I’m at home, I walk around when I’m on a call, sit in the garden while I’m listening to some training, eat healthy homemade lunches, walk the dog etc etc etc
72 months since 72 people died. A month for every life lost.
Six years, and not a single person has been held to account.
Join us at the silent walk. Stand in solidarity against our two tiered justice system.

“This moorland was a fragile, protected landscape, a site of special scientific interest, and the home for many thousands of birds, lizards, animals and insects. And it looks like almost a kilometre of it was scorched to lifelessness by a single bought barbecue.” 😔💚
@JeremyVineOn5 I’m a benefits adviser & its nonsense like this which means that I get clients complaining to me everyday about benefits claimants even though I’m helping that person to claim benefits. Its so easy to judge others but we’d all expect the State to help us if we hit difficult times

Has your partner passed away since 9 April 2001?
If so & you didn't get it, some are due backdated Bereavement Support which can be £1,000s. A change means this now applies to unmarried co-habiting couples (who had children) too. Full info https://t.co/GPhdRs9w4n
Read ASAP as backdating stops soon
Many people asking us about #bumblebees at the moment - why they’re seeing them on the ground - so here’s a quick thread to explain what they’re up to. Please #retweet as every #queen that survives means a new colony that gets to exist & produce new queen #bees for next year! 1/8
@PregnantScrewed I remember Liz Truss trying to push the same policy about 7 or 8 years ago and it was eventually binned because it’s a pile of rubbish 🤬
The narrative that domestic abuse can be dismissed as a one-off is harmful and influences how seriously the public take abuse.
➡️Domestic abuse is rarely a 'one-off', it's often part of a pattern of behaviour.
