WOW! Look at this beauty!
Our lovely volunteers created this table out of recycled wood. Doesn’t it look fab?
What we can make for you? Send us a message or come and visit us in store.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder here at the Useful Wood Company. This rare piece of Burmese Rosewood gets at least 20 millihelens on the pulchritude scale!
We found this amongst a collection of timber donated to us yesterday – isn’t it great?!

Alas that pesky little microorganism has made its presence felt at the Useful Wood Company! With many of our volunteers in the vulnerable category it made no sense to delay the inevitable so sadly we have closed the workshop, office and shop until further notice. Stay safe.
Bryan and George joined Zahir on the We Love Woking radio show last night. Thanks to Zahir for being so warm and welcoming and for putting us at ease as we chatted. The time flew by! @welovewoking
Agreed. A wonderful launch event. @wokingmayor spoke very well and very movingly. Delighted that the York Road Project will have close ties with @UsefulWood
Yesterday saw the official launch of The Useful Wood Company, we were honoured to have the Mayor of Woking, Cllr Beryl Hunwicks carry out the ribbon cutting and other VIP guests included Jonathan Lord our local MP, Ray Morgan the Chief Executive of Woking Borough Council.
Today we made thaumatropes. We used a bowsaw with an adult making sure our wood was secure by working in pairs. We also used palm drills making sure our free hand had protective rigging gloves on them.
Thanks to the @UsefulWood for wood off cuts for today's fire! #forestschool
