The new #OpenAI feature where you can make your own GPT is pretty cool but I can't wait until it's a bit more stable. Lots of errors after you add documents. I am trying really hard to make it good at splunk but it just can't reason through it well.
I asked #ChatGPT#chatgpt4 to draw me a Pikachu in HTML + CSS, no canvas, and I have to say it's perfect. It's exactly as I remember it from the show! https://t.co/nZUdCcKRrA
I brought up #ChatGPT w/ my engineers this week and I don't think devs really understand yet that if you don't like the code it writes you can just tell it why and it will fix it.
We all need to adapt to this.
So far everything I tried with #chatgpt4 has been successful
- style a page with tailwind
- use js to play the Mario theme, it even picked the right notes and waveform
- draw a circuit diagram in ASCII then write the C++ for a robot (esp32)
- write a hangman game in Svelte

@SLord519 That's awesome. I asked it to draw an ascii diagram of attaching an SD card to an ESP32 and it did a good job. I'm going to see if it will incrementally add other components too.
I have not written code for a while, but I have started up again now using GPT-4 to assist. It's kind of amazing. It works very well with microcontroller code. I have so many ideas that can be real now.
I have been writing software since the 90s, and professionally since 2010, and I think I'm finally ready to accept estimating dev durations accurately is impossible. And to make it extra spicy no external stakeholder really wants agile. Why do we do this to ourselves lol.
About to fly to #VEGAS for a week, I'm perplexed why USA still wants triple vaxxed Canadians to get an (expensive) covid test to enter. But it is what it is.
@WrestlesGaming My wife and I have been enjoying Night Trap on the switch, the cheesy early 90s night trap song all the girls sing is legendary https://t.co/zxNd2EGqGX reminds me of "Top That" from Teen Witch
