Does brutality against 15-16 year olds, to the point that they are bleeding profusely with broken limbs and in icus come under the term “agitation”.

As some one who respects children and their dignity, deeply, I am 100 percent sure, the protests of these children could have and should have been handled with more maturity and less brutal aggression.

Sometimes children simply need to be heard.

As a mental health practitioner and a children’s rights activist, I am deeply disturbed by the brute force used against these children.

As a CSA survivor myself, I think if the children are angry and frightened, because they genuinely believe something did occur, it is our duty to see and hear their fears & concerns & allow them to see a fair investigation might be imminent, in a case where the facts are so mixed up for the public.

Isolating them won’t solve anything. Ever. Authoritarianism will simply isolate them even more.

We want healthy flourishing society. These kids are our future. Let’s learn to respect them.
