Girls First Finance @GirlsFirstFin is a New York based predatory mobile lender targeting young vulnerable women through predatory student loans and aggressive collection practices. The lives of hundreds of these women and their parents have been upended by the lender.
Stop weaponising the justice system! 🛑 We condemn @NuPEA_Kenya's trumped-up charges against the #LenyaKajohn19 defenders. On Sept 1, 2026, Lake Victoria Basin stands in solidarity at Bondo Court. Access to info is a RIGHT, not a secret! 📢🇰🇪

The most powerful feature of the 2010 constitution is that it places citizens at tye centre of governance, providing them with the power to demand participation, incluscion, accountability and transparent governance. Voices from Kisumu appreciate the advancement, calling out on the political class to practice respect to it.
KATIBA AT 16 | ALL SOVEREIGN POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE 🇰🇪
16 years of a Constitution that affirmed a fundamental principle: all sovereign power belongs to the people of Kenya.
At Inuka Kenya, we believe this power is not merely a constitutional statement-it is a call to action.
It is reflected in how we participate, speak up, demand accountability, shape public policy and hold power to account.
As we mark #KatibaAt16, let’s remember: democracy does not end at the ballot box. Our constitutional power is exercised every day.
Know your power. Use your power. Defend your power.
Because ultimately, Ni Sisi.

Today we celebrate 16 years of the 2010 Constitution that promised dignity, liberty and accountability for every Kenyan, yet enforced disappearances remain uncriminalised.
Honour the Katiba by closing this gap.

Fellow Kenyans,
Young people aged 19-35 continue to bear the brunt of police violence. 90% of victims are men. This is a crisis of our generation. We refuse to be disappeared. We demand criminalisation. NOW. @WilliamsRuto@HakiKNCHR#EndEnforcedDisappearance#HakiKwaWote
Enforced disappearance creates fear far beyond the person taken. It sends a message to entire communities that anyone can be targeted. We refuse to normalise fear and impunity. @HakiKNCHR@IPOA_KE#EndEnforcedDisappearance
When someone disappears, the suffering does not end with the disappearance. Families are left searching, waiting & asking questions that deserve answers.
The right to know the fate of a loved one is a matter of justice.

55 cases documented in 2024. 6 in 2025. 18 already recorded in 2026.
Enforced disappearance must end. The promise to criminalize it must be fulfilled. We demand justice, accountability and protection for all.

Today, together with @VOCALAfrica_ Mukuru Community Justice Centre convened a community dialogue bringing together community health promoters, social workers, human rights defenders and community leaders who are always on the frontline responding to Gender based violence cases in our community.
The dialogue provided a space to share experiences, strengthen referral and response mechanisms, and discuss practical ways of supporting survivors while holding perpetrators accountable.
Gender based violence requires a coordinated community response. Those on the frontline need the knowledge, tools and support to respond effectively and ensure survivors can access justice and essential services.

Silence enables impunity. We must continue speaking out against enforced disappearances and all violations of human rights. @HakiKNCHR@IPOA_KE@UhaiWetu
The numbers are alarming: 55 cases documented in 2024, 6 in 2025, and 18 already recorded in 2026.
Every disappearance demands answers. Every family deserves truth. Every victim deserves justice.
The promise to criminalize enforced disappearance must become law.

Enforced disappearance is not just a statistic, it is a violation that leaves families searching, communities traumatised, and justice denied. @KwaHaki@UhaiWetu@IPOA_KE@HakiKNCHR
Enforced disappearance is not a crime-fighting strategy; it is a grave human rights violation. Every family deserves answers, every victim deserves justice, and every perpetrator must be held accountable.
Kenya must criminalise enforced disappearance now.
